Do NOT use TVA Credit Union! My debit card has had 6 holds for fraud held over the past year and 3 of these have been in the last few months. I’ve been stranded with no way to pay for gas and my husband had to bring me money bc of a hold on my account for a purchase I made! One purchase was the 3rd payment to an American company that has been in business for 40+ years! They don’t call or text to let me know they have flagged my card and if this happens at night or on a weekend, there is NO after hours number to call! Ask me how I know! I just tried to add my new debit card to my PayPal account and that was flagged! No call or text to let me know. They are just flagging everything and inconveniencing the customer to try and slow down fraudulent charges but they have just lost a customer! TAKE MY ADVICE AND FIND A COMPETENT BANK TO USE because TVA isn’t!

Charged me an overdraft fee on obvious fraud, refused to remove the fee. I changed to Listerhill and have had no problems since. I am writing this review to share my experience and also call them out for HARASSING on Facebook next of kin about deceased loans when they should be contacting our attorney.

This is NOT a bank for young or inexperienced banking. Fees are outrageous, protections don't stop the fees, and they still allow bills to pull with no money costing 33 dollars per instance, no limit per day. Other institutions have gotten away from this predatory behavior. I have been a member since before this was even a community credit union. I'm and emergency worker who fell on some hard times during COVID. They, being the only institution I've ever had to rely on, failed me miserably when they couldn't even lend me $5k to help consolidate some high interest debt. I lost my house, ended up with collections and all sorts of other issues, that could've been prevented. Don't expect loyalty to go very far. A superior CCU would be Redstone.

Tammie literally saved the day today. She went above and beyond to hop on a three way call with me to resolve an issue with another financial group. She also went above and beyond AGAIN to make sure things were overnighted, accounts were resolved. You don’t get that at a big bank. She deserves every good thing that comes her way.
