In the past 6 months I have had two fraud charges on my anccount and had to void and cancel my debit card. I was promised the standard “10-14 business days” for my new card to come in the mail. The first time this happened, I waited for weeks without my debit card arriving and finally drove an 1.5 hours to the bank to get my card in person. After receiving it and setting activating the card at the bank, I found out that it did not work. By this time I had already driven the 3 hour round trip home. I had to wait additional weeks for a new working debit card to arrive. The second time I had to file a fraud claim, my new debit card never arrived. I called the bank after waiting for 3 weeks and spoke to a gal who was rude, dismissive, and told me if I paid a fee she could expedite a new card for me in the mail. I will not be paying additional fees for mistakes I have not made. I’ve banked with many credit unions in the past and have never received difficulties. However after this experience, both my husband and I plan to take our banking elsewhere. I would not recommend NSFU.

Northern Skies is helpful and ready to serve all your banking needs. It is a smaller credit union but that is what makes it great!

You have to verify what information the tellers give you. Came here two days ago in person to pay off my credit card and make sure my car loan was square and they told me the car loan was paid up and so I only paid the credit card off. Turns out they were wrong! Today I got a text saying my car loan was past due and I have to now pay a late fee. I went in person again and they refused to waive the late fee, only the fee for paying in person (having to pay $5 to pay something is ridiculous to begin with). Going to be closing my credit account and going somewhere else, I feel scammed.

I can relay a good car loan experience. It was my first brand new car and they got me a decent 7% interest rate. That's not super low, but it's way better than the almost 14% interest rate I got from CU1 later. A better pick in my opinion.

Teller at Midtown branch was so nasty and rude to me with his choice of words and mouth. He blamed me for his mistakes, he said "you gave me the wrong amount ", excuse me, but he was the one who gave me the wrong amount, I gave him what he asked for. He kept arguing with me, NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE from that male teller.
