I understand my military retirement pay is rather pathetic, but falsely believed my significant $$$ assets and a credit score of 827 would allow me a Visa (ZERO rewards) CC. Imagine my shock when told the CFCR 'underwriters' care nothing of assets or credit scores, it is all about 'monthly income'. I was then charged a $20 'account closure fee'. And to add another insult, I was notified by my current CC co. that my credit score dropped to 817 due to the CFCR 'inquiry'. I believe maybe my 'internet banks' are not so bad after all. I'm giving 2 stars because I thought Angel Monroy was helpful and professional, but the rest of the place seems off.

I had an excellent experience setting up a new account with Coconino Federal. It was quick and easy, and the staff were very friendly! Thank you Austin for all of your help!

Once a great credit union, but no longer. I’ve been a member since 1970. Twice I have been treated in a very rude, demeaning matter by a west side manager….in front of embarrassed tellers and customers. That woman has no business being in management in any reputable business.

good experiences overall. I have a loan and some sort of account that i dont use expect to store some unknown quantity of money . I do most of my banking at another CU went here for line of unsecured credit, happy with rate and terms of loan. not happy with online portal, its probably good for such a small operation though. customer service ranges from good to great.

I love this bank, has been good to me for years.... But I just got off the phone with the rudest employee. Maybe Jennifer was just having a bad day. I can understand that. But if you can't have proper customer service rapport, than maybe you shouldn't work in the CS "industry". Trully disappointed in the way I was talked to over the telephone.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
