I have excellent credit and applied in good faith, yet this bank delivered one of the laziest underwriting experiences I have ever encountered. I was given a vague denial citing an inability to verify information, but no one ever contacted me, requested documents, asked clarifying questions, or attempted any actual verification. Verify what, exactly?? Instead of a real underwriting review, I received a generic excuse that suggests either outdated systems or a complete lack of effort. Pair that with an unresponsive and disengaged loan officer and the experience becomes frustrating fast. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a pattern rather than an isolated issue. Antiquated verification systems, lazy underwriting, and poor customer service make this bank impossible to recommend. There are far better institutions that understand how modern lending and communication are supposed to work. If you value transparency, competence, and basic professionalism, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere instead of wasting your time with Sunwest Bank.

I've never been in a branch. My auto dealer arranged a car loan with SunWest. I paid off the loan in a short time. I've been waiting for a copy of pay off for several weeks. I've tried to call, email and even wrote a letter and have heard nothing. AZ DMV still has SunWest as lien holder even though paid off. Phone line says computer down, emails not returned and nothing by mail. Poor communication and have no trust in this company.

I used to love this bank. They've significantly gone down hill over the last year or so. There are no Saturday hours anymore. I've been calling their customer service line for days and am met with the same message stating longer than usual delays. You either sit on hold indefinitely or can be called back. None of this is convenient when you work in an office and only have limited availability for phone calls. When I go into this location, there's always a line and hardly anyone helping customers. This location is also in a sketchy strip mall and the ability to use an inside ATM after hours is not available, like it was at the prior location. The small, personal touch is gone. I'm getting ready to switch banks, most likely.

Locations are so far away, we all have to drive into the ghetto just to make a deposit. Open a location in the Scottsdale/paradise valley area. Thanks π π. Also, why is your phone system still down for maintenance? Itβs been a few months? We wants answers?

Do not finance anything with this scam company! They never released the title to my husband's truck after he paid it off in full and they conveniently refused to correct their mistake. After multiple calls, they told him that he has to go to the MVD and "hope they will do him a favor". It's been 10 years and they are still on the title! I wouldn't be surprised if this is a standard business practice and they are just hoping people die before they get it resolved so they can keep people's property. Rip off alert!!!!
