I have the Arkansas Federal Credit Union MasterCard, and found fraudulent charges on it back in October. I’m still fighting with them to get over $500 worth of charges off of my account… I keep getting the runaround… they’re telling me that they sent me a letter “snail mail”… really ??? In this day and age… snail mail..!!! why would they send snail mail about fraudulent charges? First, it took me two phone calls being on hold for probably over an hour total time to even report the fraud charges. I didn’t know the first report hadn’t gone through back in October until I called to check up on why the charges were still showing on my account on the 1st of November … It is the worst place to ever bank with. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy … soon as this gets cleared up, if it ever does get cleared up. I will be closing my account with them.

I went in here on 3/8/24 after I closed my account at another credit union after 35 years. United Arkansas is affiliated with my employer ( I changed jobs)so I figured it would be better to be here. I’ve never had to open a new account standing at the teller counter I’ve always been invited into a private office for this. She (30-40 YO African American woman) was having issues so I was asked to have a seat in the lobby where she later returned and started discussing with me what type of account I wanted. She was being assisted by a younger African American man who attempted to ask me by yelling out how much money I wanted to open the account with ( I’m sitting in the lobby and he’s asking this from his work station). I went up to him and asked for my money back and my ID and told him I made a mistake coming in there. The most un professional banking experience I’ve ever encountered!

This bank is horrible. A customer made a few payments to me by check that turned out bad. Not stolen but bad. I was not given time to consult the customer to pay in cash before my account was closed. This bank immediately closed my account when the checks were returned. I also had a loan with them. While I had surgery I left a family member over my finances. She paid my loan payment with the money that was in the account before knowing the checks would be returned. Which caused the account to be in the negative. However payments were made on this loan before those checks had been deposited. They decided since they closed my checking account they would reverse good payments made before the check situation and apply to the negative check balance. This was also reported on my credit report and shows my loan is behind 4 months. This is illegal and unethical. I was never given a chance to pay the negative balance in the checking account. Not Even a week. I will be suing and disputing asap if this cannot be worked out with management.

I got a loan from them, we setup auto payments three months later I got a delinquent notice. Went back did same paperwork and three months later the same thing happened delinquent notice again. I went in to get duplicate debit card, card came in didn't work I was told to give it a few days still didn't work and they asked if I remember my pin. Turns out it not a duplicate and sense I had thrown away the paper with a pin that I wouldn't need with a duplicate the wanted to charge me 5dollars for a new pin, no thanks and then they turned my card off I didn't request that and so now I have nothing and on top of that I got another delinquent notice after months of no problems and they say somehow the dates are mixed up not my fault I'm closing my accounts their after over 20years, I wouldn't advise anyone to open an account with them until they hold people accountable for poor performance

Everyone that I have worked with has been very kind and knowledgeable. I got my auto loan through this bank and they offered the route 66 extended warranty. It was significantly cheaper than the one I had purchased with my car. I have used it twice now and it has worked perfectly. I have called route 66 a few times with some questions and the person that answered was very helpful and easy to understand.
