After being a member for nearly 20 years, BayFed changed its terms to charge fees unless members make a monthly direct deposit of $500 or more. I joined a credit union to avoid big-bank behavior, not to be penalized for how I use my account. They pay no interest and now add fees for accounts that don’t meet their new requirements. I’ll be moving my money elsewhere.

I’ve loved my account at Bay Federal for the last 20 years, but it’s time to move on. They’re now charging $10 a month for my checking account. Even with a balance of over $10,000 they no longer use minimum balance as a way to be exempt from their maintenance fee. I guess all relationships come to an end.

If you plan on staying 🏘 in the county, this is best credit union; you deposit your $💰 & you can withdraw💸 some, later the same day!🥳

Un-Bank yourself! I had an outstanding experience with BFCU for my recent HELOC. They were incredibly professional, kept me updated constantly, and went above and beyond to expedite the funding process. Highly recommend The Bay Federal Credit Union!

I have been banking with bay federal since its only location in downtown Salinas . Expanding has been the downfall for them. -I contacted them regarding their widget app and was told that an IT ticket was made. No one ever called , it’s been months. I still cannot use the mobile widget . -they mailed me a new card because mine was expiring this month (June) so I call the automated system to activate my new card on 6/21. Was told it was successful . Now today , 6/22, my card has been declining at stores as well as food establishments, however the money is taken from my account . Now going to the app to dispute , IT DOESNT WORK. -they don’t have a call center that is worth anything either, the number you call just tells you to call a rep during regular business hours, why have a call center if they don’t resolve anything . Now I need to take time out of my work day tomorrow to go into a branch to sort this all out . EXTREMELY disappointing considering I’ve been with them for YEARS. As soon as this issue with this is resolved I’m going to Wells Fargo.they may be a Corp. type bank but I can atleast get assistance when needed.do better .
