I recently had the pleasure of working with Dennis Seiffert, an Indirect Loan Funder at Patelco, and I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible service he provided. From the moment we started our interaction, Dennis was not only informative but also extremely personable. He took the time to ensure I understood every aspect of the loan process and made me feel like a valued client. In today's service industry, it's rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about their clients, but Dennis exemplifies this dedication. His approach to customer service is a dying art, and it truly sets Patelco apart from other companies. Thanks to Dennis, my experience was smooth and reassuring, making me appreciate Patelco even more.

If I could give Patelco Credit Union no stars I would. They mishandle everything financially related and takes no accountability for NOTHING!!! Today I decided to file a formal complaint with Patelco for continuously reporting inaccurate information and they refuse to change even with all the documentations. NO more. There are other reputable credit unions that have more to offer than Patelco. Go there. After years of being a customer, I decided to take my money elsewhere.

Customer Experience Report – Patelco Credit Union Last week, I visited this branch to cash my check and make a deposit. When I spoke with the teller, she told me she couldn’t process funds and said something completely inappropriate, but I chose to ignore it. I asked to speak with the manager, but she wasn’t available. Instead, the assistant manager was there, though I was told I needed to wait since she was helping another customer. While waiting, I called Patelco’s customer service at the 800 number to see if they could assist me and help avoid the delay. However, they couldn’t see my deposit and advised me to speak directly with Rosa, the branch manager. After about 25 minutes, I returned to the counter. I was first in line, but only one teller was working. I noticed a woman sitting in her office in front of a computer while 4–5 customers were waiting. One gentleman approached her office and asked when someone would come to help us. She seemed annoyed by his question but finally said, Come to my office, How I can help you. I went in and explained that I wanted to have the funds of the check for that same day and, if possible, receive the full amount the same day or half of the amount. She immediately said no. I explained that at the Almaden branch in San Jose, they had helped me before and were able to accommodate my request. She replied, I don’t want to do it. If you want, go there.I was shocked by her response. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said, No, the manager isn’t here I then asked, Rosa, the manager, isn’t here? and she told me, “Rosa is in Fremont. If you want, you can go there.” I told her that I live locally and that this is the closest branch for me, but she said again, I don’t want to do it, and I’ll note in your account that I don’t want to cash your check.I couldn’t believe what she was saying. When I asked if she truly didn’t want to help me at all, she simply said, I can give you your check back. I was hurt by how rude she was, but I stayed calm and didn’t show my emotions. I told her, Yes, please give me my check. She went in front for about two minutes and returned it to me. As soon as I left, I called Patelco’s 800 customer service line again and explained what had happened. To my surprise, they quickly resolved my issue. The representative guided me step by step on how to deposit the check through the mobile app, and they were even able to release the funds immediately. I also asked them to file a formal complaint about how I was treated. I usually prefer to deal with people directly instead of using machines because I believe in supporting jobs in our community. However, after this experience, I realized that Patelco’s phone service is actually very efficient and respectful unlike what I experienced at that branch. Later that same day, I unfortunately had to return to the branch to get a money order since the Walmart machine wasn’t working. In contrast, the Almaden branch in San Jose, CA deserves special recognition. The bankers there are always professional, respectful, and proactive. The tellers, If they are not sure about something, they call someone else for help rather than refusing service. Their customer service is excellent I would give them 5 stars. As for the woman who helped me at this other branch, her communication style and attitude toward customers were unacceptable. She clearly needs additional training in customer service, communication, and professionalism. Respect and courtesy are essential in her position, and unfortunately, she showed none of that. Based on my experience, her service deserves zero stars. After this situation, I will try not to return to this branch. Maybe my husband might go there in the future, but as for me, I prefer to wait or use 800 phone number.

They are down again for almost 6 hours today. Don't know what they are doing now. They need to hire some network security agents if their website is hacked multiple times.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
