Disinterested banker. High balance clients not prioritized. They do NOT support or advocate for small businesses, even when you're funneling in 15K to 20K a month with strong financials, solid credit, and consistent proof of income. We moved a large amount of money through 1st Ent, and after a few months, we applied for a small business credit line under a new LLC. Our assigned banker showed zero interest in our situation. He didn’t advocate, and declined us without effort. Another woman who I reached out to while he was on vacation stepped in, reviewed our account, and was shocked that he didn’t present our story properly. That alone was a red flag. Their tagline says they care about your story. We didn’t feel that. We felt dismissed and undervalued, despite clear deposits, a strong credit score, and income docs from our prior institution. The whole process felt unprofessional and totally disconnected from the needs of real entrepreneurs. Their cashless, increasingly digital branches, honestly felt like an unofficial bank holding our money. We hoped 1st Ent would offer a better experience than the big banks, but what we got was worse. They don’t support growth. And they don’t value clients moving 10k to 20K a month through their institution.

My experience with First Entertainment Credit Union has been extremely disappointing and harmful to my credit. They encourage you to apply for a credit card and, during the application process, they place a hard inquiry on your credit report. After that, without proper explanation or transparency, they close the credit card account and then report the closed account to the credit bureaus. This process unnecessarily damages your credit history and credit score. A hard inquiry followed by an immediately closed account reflects very negatively on a consumer’s credit report and can cause long-term harm. This is one of the worst credit union experiences I have ever had. I strongly do not recommend First Entertainment Credit Union to anyone, especially if you care about protecting your credit history.

So disappointed in this bank! I was robbed during the holidays and when I called my bank to report it I was given horrible advice that ended up costing me a lot of money in the end. This bank use to be amazing. What happened?

This branch does not offer shared credit union branch transactions, even though their website says they do. Based on the mountain of other one star reviews, I guess that's just one of the many lies they tell anyone unfortunate enough to walk through the doors. I would say "ownership needs to update their website to reflect accurate banking practices," but it looks like ownership just needs to close this place down and find another line of work.

BAD SERVICE! REALY BAD SERVICE! CONTENT CREATORS STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK AND ALL BRANCHES. After my horrible experience at the Culver city branch. I decided to try and open a business account with the Hollywood branch. When I entered. I wasn't greeted. Instead I felt offended and given dirty looks. A woman named Melissa approached me and ask. Do you have business here? I responded. I'm a content creator and I would like to open a C corp here please. I have all my documents and my identification. The branch was completely empty. Yet clean. Melissa told me. We're completely busy today and you'll need to make an appointment. I didn't want to argue even though I was prepared to open my account the same day. I ask. When is the next appointment. Sure I'll make one. She responded in 2 weeks. I thought 2 weeks was a bit long. I think that was intentional to blow me away. I thought First entertainment was a bank for the community? I'm outraged that I went to two locations and was treated horribly. I noticed in the Culver city branch. There's no African American bankers. I noticed in the Hollywood branch. No African American bankers. I go on First Entertainment credit union web page. I searched each location. Every banker is either white or Hispanic. No Black's? How can a bank of the community not hire any members of the community? Just white and Hispanic bankers? My Black Film creators! Do not come to this bank or any of them. I made a blog about this bank and there customer service and a recent applicant reached out to me. Listen to this. This Black applicant applied to this bank. He's more then qualified. He has prior banking experience. And on his birthday they told him. Happy birthday but were passing on your application. SMH. I didn't believe this. I ask this young man to please send me the email. When I get it. I will post it on every site possible. This has to be exposed. Unbelievable! To the owner of this Bank. I strongly advise a change in customer service and a hire of African Americans. You can't be a bank for the entertainment industry and have poor poor service. I went to US bank. Black and Asian bankers. Open a account same day there. Walked into comerica bank in marina del Rey. The branch Manger is Black. Opened a C corp there same day. Why is it for African Americans they can not open a simple account same day? Why? My Content Creators or any Film industry Association. I Highly advise to not do any business with this bank. Any for those that are please withdraw from this bank fast. There reviews speak for themselves. Transfer your assets to any other bank. Thank you.
