Had to update our account information. The staff greeted us and was very friendly and attentive. We are a long-time customer. Like the fact that there are always diversity with the staff and the customers being served. We received great service as always. Really like feeling very secure with the security guard monitoring the parking lot and how they use the buzz in security door system. Could always go to the other credit union or other affiliate branches to do our businesses, but we prefer coming to this place instead. We like their service better and their great staff.

JACOM Credit Union Los Angeles is our credit union’s shared branch in SoCal. I needed a cashiers check and I was in and out of the bank in 5 minutes. The bank teller who helped me was professional, efficient and friendly. Parking was easy and the security guard made it feel even more secure.

I had to stop by to take care of some paperwork. I have had family members who have been with the JACU for decades. It was a local community credit union that was created when the Crenshaw area was highly populated by JA's and their businesses. My experience was very positive I knew what I wanted to be done and they knew how to do it. They even provide a clear proactive sign so there is clarity to what they can provide. A sign that any civilized literate person with a ounce of comprehension can understand. The first 3 lines says it all. I read it I understood it and proceeded to complete my task at hand.

I began using this credit union a few years ago. I don't go often but when I do the representatives are professional, very courteous and helpful. I was not aware that their rules had changed and I could only take out a certain amount because I am a member of a different credit union. I understood and when I go I know how much to request without any trouble at all. I am so happy they are close to my home which saves me a long drive. I have not had any trouble at all when doing business at this facility.

I am writing to shed light on an issue that has plagued numerous Crenshaw district locals. Taking into account my personal experience, history, racial disparities and economic statistics of Los Angeles County. Being an African American it appears to be a tale of two cities between North and South L.A. During my visit to this co-op credit union. I was met with a contentious sign that illustrated the discriminative customer service that would follow. Once inside, the operations manager who went by the name Chris questioned the legitimacy of my provided documents for account verification yet refused to contact my primary credit union to confirm that the documents given were accurate. He gestured to his security to ask me to leave the premises with no recourse. I went back the following day after I contacted my primary credit union to confirm the documents required for my transaction. I brought along another party to witness my testimony. When I approached the door the same security guard from the day before informed me that they could not service me. This prompted me to pull out my phone and record the exchange. Once I began recording the guard quickly went inside to seek help from the manager. I recorded the dialogue from this exchange as well. Having a level of cognitive dissonance on a surface level one could write this off as coincidence but after I read all of the unfavorable reviews on Yelp paired with the low 2.8 Google review summary. I could not omit the systematic racism demonstrated by this financial institution. Establishments like this are vile for the community.
