Luis, the Executive VP (and Loan Officer when needed!!) at Polam Credit Union, was incredible to work with. He was approachable, relatable, and genuinely cared about helping us. When our bank of over 21 years wouldn’t budge, Luis made it possible for us to secure the loan we needed to move forward with our wedding. Great person, great service—highly recommend!

I absolutely love this credit union! They are so involved in the community, so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. There was a racist loan officer who is no longer there so that has made me change my rating. My accounts are safe, secure, insured, and I know it is all kept confidential and even though they know me well, my information is kept private and technology is up to par with much larger institutions. They are very hands on and it gets better and better each year that I walk in. I absolutely love the small town feel with the personalized service yet the high technology that I need. Five stars and I have zero complaints. Keep up the great work!!

I'd like to give a shout-out to Jennifer Audette at POLAM Federal Credit Union. I bought a brand new car and had some questions about financing. Jennifer is a friend of a friend and my friend called her about extended warranties, rates, etc. Even though I was not using POLAM to finance my car loan, she spent about 30 minutes of her own time answering questions and giving suggestions. Who does that?! Thanks jennifer! You made my first, new-car buying experience a little less stressful!

In our Polish community word travels quickly, and everyone is aware of the recent layoff of the loan officer at POLAM Credit Union. It is difficult to understand how such a decision could have been made, given her reputation and longstanding service. She was always professional, with positive attitude, always willing to help all customers. Her absence is felt by many including myself. Moreover, POLAM is expected to be an organization that supports Polish people, both customers and employees. Therefore, it is disappointing to see a Polish organization lay off someone who has dedicated 27 years to its success and service. Additionally, the Polish Labor Code, Article 39, on Pre-retirement Protection, safeguard against terminating employees just a few years before retirement. Yes we are not in Poland but don’t we value Polish work culture in the Polish organization? I am extremely disappointed in POLAM’s CEO and the Board of Directors for this type of behavior, and it has not gone unnoticed by the community. That said, I request that CEO, Miss Audette refrain from offering a genetic apology for my concerns or encouraging me to call her; if I believed that would be sincere and productive, I would have done so already.

I recently met an employee who works at POLAM and I loved her enthusiasm about her credit union and community. So much so that I was convinced to attend a Polish Christmas celebration, which turned out to be fabulous!
