Avoid BluPeak Credit Union at all costs. They are hands down one of the most unhelpful, greedy, and unreasonable financial institutions I’ve ever dealt with. I made every payment on time, never missed a beat, and when I tried to refinance my mortgage to lower my debt and improve my finances, BluPeak flat-out refused to subordinate my solar panel loan. Their lien position wouldn’t have changed at all — yet they hid behind nonsense excuses about my debt-to-income ratio being “too high.” That’s the entire reason I was refinancing in the first place! Other credit unions actually work with their members. BluPeak does the opposite. They punish members for trying to be financially responsible. Their decision destroyed my refinance and cost me thousands in savings — all because they refuse to act with any common sense, compassion, or understanding. BluPeak pretends to be a member-first credit union, but they operate like a heartless, profit-hungry bank. Don’t believe their marketing lies. If you’re thinking about getting a solar panel loan or any kind of financing through them, don’t do it. They’ll smile while you sign the papers, then leave you stranded when you actually need their help.peration.

I have been a member for many years, since this bank was USE Credit Union. BluPeak has added a dormancy policy that is inconvenient since they shifted my USECU credit card to Elan credit card services. The account goes dormant annually unless I perform transactions (what I have left is a savings account). If I don't catch the notice warning of this behavior, I must provide a notarized form to re-activate.

I work with BluPeak. They placed a couple of pre-approved offers in my account, so when I needed cash, I applied. They did a hard credit check and then requested additional documents. Something in my 2023 or 2024 tax returns didn’t satisfy them, so they dismissed my application. Be careful—you risk not getting the money and getting a hard inquiry on your score. I had a similar situation with SoFi, but they just offered a loan at a slightly higher interest rate.

Terrible bank. I had an expired id a bank card and a dmv temporary id to replace my debit card and they wouldn’t issue me a new one I have banked with them since I was 18 . I will now be looking for a new credit union.

Claudia is an excellent branch manager. She is very kind, courteous and professional. Her staff are very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. The Mission Valley branch is so nice and modern. My overall experience was 10/10. Will definitely be returning to this branch for all of my banking needs.
