Their system really needs an update. The online payoff process doesn’t allow you to settle the full balance in one transaction—you’re limited to payments of $7,500 at a time, which makes things unnecessarily complicated. The portal itself feels outdated, like it hasn’t been improved in decades, and each transaction can take nearly a week to process. On top of that, customer service hasn’t been helpful. Overall, the experience is frustrating and inefficient

This morning my bank told me that this bank offered us shared banking. I arrive, there's a sign to the left of the door that they're no longer offering shared banking. Update your database, I've been driving around for 7 days now, and all listed shared branches are no longer offering shared banking And calling has helped either, because over the phone there telling me they offer it, I drive there, NO shared banking

Stay away from this place!! They have terrible customer service and every year lose at least one payment that is send directly to them from another account. Same time every month from the same bank, its on auto pay. Then you have to spend the time to prove to them that the error is their issue. They still charge you a late fee though and refuse the give it back.

Absolute worst bank experience ever, I've never experienced anything so ridiculous and such an incompetent employee. I went there to cash a personal check for my security deposit that was written by my landlord and I went to her bank since that's where the personal check was issued from. they asked me for two forms of ID which I presented which is normal then they demanded my social security number which is not typical and he wouldn't cash the check without it, I said to him why do you need my social security number he said all the banks ask for that now. That's untrue. And the over kill topper was when he made me put INK on my thumb and imprint my thumb print on to the check!!!! I was there 20 minutes with him while he did all of this and I said why is this taking so long, he said oh I'm setting up an account for you here just in case you ever need to cash a check here again. An account I never asked for or wanted! This employee is crazy. and that is not something I say lightly. Never use this bank if at all possible.

Update (May 2025) Now that our energy efficiency loan is almost paid off, I asked for a final pay off amount. It's pretty straightforward, not with WheelHouse CU. Finally I get a pay off amount, initiate the payment from their website. My bank transfers the full amount (I have confirmation), now Wheelhouse calls me re the payoff amount, which they already did in writing. I tell them I already initiated the full payoff payment then they call me to tell me that they only received partial payment. I tell them they need to get their acts together and apparently the caller did not like it and tells me, the customer to calm down and be polite?????? Now we are in the process of upgrading our solar system and I will make sure to work with a bank that has their act together Wheelhouse CU will only fund loans for solar and energy efficiency if the contractor accept to become a customer of theirs and I assume pay fees. We have been a Wheelhouse customer for 2 years now with the financing of our solar system, we are the ones taking the loan and paying it back, not the contractor who, by the way is a very reputable contractor coming highly recommended.
