After getting a pre approval loan certificate to go shopping for a vehicle, I was turned down by Climbs underwriters 4 times through the auto loan portal. 4 times. Mind you, I was pre approved. Top tier borrower, low DTI. 4 times my loan request was turned down. Three of those times the vehicle was sold to someone else. The 4th time I went to another lender. Avoid all climb business. I have a personal loan I will be paying off by May 1st. Im am closing my savings account as well. Good bye Climb. What a joke.

My son moved to Japan to go to school. He had a problem paying his next semester of school and his card kept declining when he tried to pay online like he had previously done before with no issues. He was told there is nothing wrong with his card. So he tried to withdraw cash as he always does and he was now unable to access his cash. Then he was told there was still no issues with his card and that there was no record of him trying to pay online or take cash out. Obviously there was an issue. His card work just fine the previous day. There is no block on the card is what he was told. His rent is also due...Being in another country with no access to YOUR MONEY is very stressful. I went to the bank and was not very happy. Here i have my 20 year old son in Japan with no access to his money and no one is helping him. The girl at the counter cannot help me and all she can say is there is no issues with his card. I asked for the branch manager but with it being a Saturday there wasn't one available to help me. So i am even more angry at that point. Violetta came up to me and said please come with me and let me see if i can help you. Went to her office and we talked and not only did i calm down because someone is actually understanding me and taking the time to listen and help me. She made a call to the call center and still they said nothing was wrong... clearly there was. She assures me she is going to continue to work on this and figure out what is going on. Monday comes and she got with someone higher up and someone who knows what they are doing and they did a few things on their end and when my son was advised to try to attempt to pay rent and use the ATM everything worked again. With 1 day remaining to get rent paid Violetta made it happen! THANK YOU VIOLETTA!! You went OVER & BEYOND your job duties to help my son in Japan!

Working with Serena Groh and the team at Climb Credit Union was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Serena was responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with—she made the entire process seamless. You can tell their operation is buttoned up and client-focused, which made all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer anyone their way. 5 stars across the board!

My review is specifically how they treat people with medium or low credit, or no credit history at all and not about customer service or the online or phone systems. Customer service is always polite and attempts to help and the phone and online systems are easy enough to use. I have been a Sooper customer for 21 years and each time I've come to this bank for financial help with establishing or working on improving credit they've politely denied me help. They claim to be community focused and eager to help people, but they don't actually do that. If you are looking for a credit union to bank at pick a different one because these people won't help you.

I commend branch manager Vanessa, Lakewood. I ran my van over the curb, onto the landscaping and got stuck. Vanessa was professional, courteous and friendly and went through the horror of contacting my insurance. There was no reasonable response from them; the credit union was about to close. Vanessa found a tow company for me and stayed with me until my van was freed to drive. Then she called me when she got home to make sure I was okay. What. A. Gem!
