Awful customer service. I tried to set up automatic payments multiple times but their website didn't allow me to and I was late on a few payments as a result. They marked me as delinquent which tanked my credit score 90 points. Even when I had one of their employees walk me through setting up automatic payments it didn't work and she had to do it on her end. This didn't matter though because they refused to fix my credit even though their unintuitive clunky website was what caused the problem. You'd think a firefighter's credit union would have better morals.

This isn’t the first time this has happened which is why I’m writing this. I called to make an instant credit card transfer Friday, and asked more than twice for it to be instant because of this ongoing issue. Just to go use my card to find out it wasn’t instant. I had bills that had to go through this specific credit card and they couldn’t. It’s honestly frustrating having this happen multiple times and the people who work here not care. It’s 50/50 from the direct bank, to the call center they now have. Sucks losing trust within a bank, but here we are.

After being lockout of my account I emailed the credit union and got an immediate call from the CEO. Mike was very personable and took the time to get me setup again, I’m able to log in with no problem. They truly care at DFDFCU and will work to resolve any issues that may come up.

I love Denver Fire Credit union however I don't know why lately every time I call nobody ever answers the phone. It definitely bums me out, my Dad has been a loyal customer for many years as well as a firefighter and he added me on to the credit union when I was a young one at home with my parents! Love you guys just a little disappointed I can't get anyone to answer the phone.

NOT A SHARED BRANCHING LOCATION!! Google says this location is a shared branching location but that is false if you already belong to a shared branch and location this credit Union will not be able to do any sort of business with you however if you are a member of this credit Union then you can participate in shared branching in other words their members are offered shared branching but they themselves do not offer any services to shared branching members. They also do not have an ATM but the staff is very friendly and the vintage fire truck decor is pretty cool to look at as well.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
