I have a loan with UBI and go to the plainville branch. Everyone I have worked with has been extremely nice except for one woman named Gail. We have a 10 day grace period of when our payment is due, and if I do not pay my bill on the exact due date, she will call me every day harassing me leaving me voicemails telling me how important it is to call back. Times are tough and I might not pay my bill on the exact due date, but I do pay it within the Grace period every time. Nobody should be getting harassed.

This was 1st time I’ve had to reach out to UBI regarding my auto loan with C/S for assistance. Special thanks to Jose from Plainville who was knowledgeable and available to handle my requests and took care of details and electronic paperwork. Thank you Jose for your amazing customer! A estimate to the value of local banking options.

Really wish 0 stars was an option. Do not attempt to get an auto loan with ubi. Wife has a high credit score. I have a decent credit score, but make more money. We shopped around for a used car auto loan where we were putting almost 40% of the car’s price down. Attempted to apply on the website and it was down. went into the Plainville branch to discuss rates, and were met with just a piece of paper to fill out, and no one could be bothered to talk with. Wife and I ended up walking out after asking a question about some information on the application, and were met with a rude and snark response. Found the website back online and filled it out in the parking lot. Never heard from them for 2 weeks. Decided to go with another loan offer from nutmeg with a very low rate. Another week later, and we found out through the mail we were denied, even though 6 different banks and credit unions offered us very competitive rates (nutmeg was the best to work with, with the lowest rates by a long shot). Upon reading reviews, it seems we are not alone. Do not do business with ubi, because they do not want to do business with you.

For the past few years, I have been diligently paying off my car loan no problem. Now, you shut down for two days, launched a new system, and are making us pay for it. I had to re-enroll for an account for no reason at all; how am I supposed to know my membership number to re-enroll if I can't log in? I re-enrolled and logged in, and now my external bank account that I have been using to make payments is missing from my account. Why am I paying for your poor ability to implement an online banking system with my precious time!?

Worst of all my loan providers by a mile. I’m currently on hold for an hour+ to make a loan payment with 4 people in cue. Now it’s 5:15 you are closed and just leave the rest of the people on hold and go home. Absolutely ridiculous— and that’s just today. As everyone else in these comments notes, if it was easier or possible to submit payments through the app or website everyone would do it but either it doesn’t work or it kicks out your ACH. Some people note being charged multiple times within a loan period and I have experienced the rude lady calling within grace period as others noted as well. Truthfully, it would never get into the grace period if there was a way to get someone on the line to take payment. Based on the rest of these comments I’m certain the best course of action for all of us is refinance and avoid at all cost. Extreme lack in customer service & digital functionality in 2026 is massively concerning for your survival in the modern era. Also side note, I only share feedback like this in extreme cases as I experience & understand the impacts of the feedback to the overall business but in this case it’s a systemic issue not an individual.
