-Rocky Hill Location drive through machine deposits haven’t worked the last 4 days I visited. Been with nutmeg for a while and they have been great but driving out to Rocky Hill 20 minutes each way with same issue present has gotten old. Bank of America is closer and I can make deposits at these locations more available and ready than nutmeg.

Do not deposit checks in this bank. They hold it for almost 2weeks. The check came from a reputable company but they could careless. I needed to pay bills but cannot and will be late. In the past, I deposited checks in another credit union and funds were made available the next day. It is frustrating to hold on to checks that clears immediately just for their personal gains.

Update. Machines are there still but are no longer being used. They have real tellers and the drive though is open! Machines are always out of service, drive through hasn’t been open in YEARS and I’m not sure if they even have “tellers” working anymore. The AAA worker is there and friendly (nutmeg should take notes) Would switch banks in a heartbeat but they make it difficult to withdraw money, can only imagine how hard it would be to close out accounts.

The people at the bank are not a problem. However, the credit union as a whole is absolutely horrendous. The bank has repeatedly frozen my account without giving me any form of notification and has left me stranded without access to my account. The absolutely lack of proper banking etiquette is of deep concern to me. Any proper bank would have a better way of handling these situations. As well, when I speak with people over the phone regarding the situation they lie to me and tell me I have been notified, when any such notification does not exist. A complaint with the better business bureau is going to be filed!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a one star rating because they won't let you do less. I deposited a certified bank check for $9000. The check cleared within two business days. It's now been seven and they still will not release my money. This is completely illegal, and I have lawyers looking into this. As soon as this is finished, my account will be closed. I would not recommend nutmeg state financial credit union for anything.!
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
