I have been a member here for many years. Lately been trying for the last 3 months to get a call back from loan department and nothing. I called yesterday and spoke with Barbara D and within 10 min I had the documents I needed. 5 Stars for Barbara I greatly appreciate your help and prompt service. Last couple years have been rough with the customer service here which is super sad because this has always been the best bank in Torrington. I hope Barbara is a sign of new changes and improvments to get back where they used to be.

I have been a member for over 15 years. I have written great review after great review. They were the best!! They took a chance on me years ago, and approved a secured loan for me to help me build my credit. 2 secured, 2 personal, and 2 car loans later, I don’t know what happened. ( let me say, I have NEVER defaulted on a loan here, so that is not an issue) About 2 years ago, things seemed to change. Service became less friendly. Technology worse ( 2 times my direct deposits were not available due to their outdated system). And most recently, their denial of a small personal loan request. ( I understand that not all loans are approved, but my situation was better than in the past, and the reason why was poor) Friendly service replaced with indifferent, and sometimes rude people. I still have a car loan here, but will be going elsewhere. Already opened an account at another bank. A big loss for Torrington. They used to be the best

I've been with this credit union since 2009 and loved them for years I had no problems up until the last few years it's been nothing but attitude from everybody who worked there because yes, I have talked to almost everyone and they all have some type of attitude or just don't like to help people. I've had multiple car loans and a credit card through this credit union, and the last time I tried to get a car loan through them they went deep into my credit history and asked me a bunch of questions about small discrepancies on my credit and made me feel inadequate for either falling on hard times or not being able to explain why my credit score has fluctuated. It's harder to get approved for things with the same credit score I had several years ago and you'll always get a nasty attitude from the loan department and even the tellers when I call in or go in. I still have a loan with them so when I pay it off I'll be going somewhere else. It was def a great starter credit Union when I was 19 and they had different people working there.
