I would like to give more stars as I’ve found customer service representatives at the Wethersfield and Middletown branches to be very friendly. However, making payments on my loan/account is nearly impossible unless you physically go to a branch. Their “easy” pay option on the website has not been functional for months. Then when you call in to make a payment the phone either disconnects or there is an automated message that says there are difficulties putting the call through. I spend so much time each month just trying to make a payment on my loan and it is extremely inconvenient. They really need to upgrade or fix their phone and website because it unfortunately makes for a poor customer service experience.

My loan evaluation was flawed due to incorrect assumptions, lack of due diligence, and procedural incompetence. False information was provided to build a case to deny me, prompting me to consider filing a complaint with the CFPB. I have 30+ year history of credit, with a score over 800 and no delinquencies—this credit union’s reasoning didn’t add up. I had to frequently follow up and cancel my DMV appointment, delaying me 2.5 more weeks after waiting 3 weeks for the apportionment and several work hours will be missed. For context, I was just approved for the same loan amount by another credit union that reviewed the same credit data. Use this credit union as a last resort. This is an honest review; seek alternatives.

I have been having an ongoing issue with her as far as taking payments out of my account. I authorize one amount of $300 and they end up taking a double payment and I went in to tell the lady the manager who has the mushroom or the bowl cut, and she was very rude to me basically looked at me and her exact words were. Do you want an account here or not? Extremely rude and every time I said, why are they taking two payments when I only authorize one she laughed in my face and told me that they don’t care what amount it is as long as I authorize it they could take anywhere from $.25 to $200 whatever . Excuse me ?!?! I told her I’m going to record when I call and extend my rental so she can see that I only authorize one amount and she told me it doesn’t matter that I authorize them into my account. They could take whatever they want. Do you want to bank the bank where they allow anybody to take whatever they want ? But then on the flipside, they charge me $30 because all the payments they take out they overdraft my account and then they say it’s my fault because I let them take money out of my account but that’s not the amount I approved that’s what they don’t get like I said, do you want a bank with the bank? Where as long as you get permission to take money out of the account they will let them take as much as they want and not fight. Poor, poor, poor, poor, poor, poor poor service and that’s coming from the manager. ! The fight has just begun !

Angie helped get me started with new account and a car loan and made the process so seamless and easy for me. She was very communicative and professional and was able to answer all of my questions throughout the process.
