Tried to call about some fraudulent charges to my card (Vulnerable moment), but was met with a very rushed and unsympathetic Tone. After trying to explain a bit further, i was cut off mid sentence and told you have to just call the fraudulent line. At this point, I was a bit put off, so I asked why there was a rushing and dismissible tone. I then asked if I could speak to a manager to possibly get a little more help. A manager came on the line after a couple minutes. She was a tiny bit more receptive, but still not sympathetic And did not seem concerned at all with the employees attitude and tone to a customer. Needless to say After almost 15 years of banking with them, I will be Probably taking my banking elsewhere quite soon, Where they make you feel like you matter!! And no, I am not a regular review writer. This is only the second one I think I’ve ever done and both were to do with unprofessional attitude. My mom worked in banking for many years and was always nothing but polite. I also work with customers on a daily Basis , And no matter what I’m going through, I put my best attitude forward for the customer.

This place has amazing customer service! So much so that... I moved south 10 years ago and STILL have them as my only financial institution. Going on 40 years now!! A lot of people don't know that if you move out of CT, you can still use the co op system they have set up... ASK THEM ABOUT IT!! For the love of GOD, do not deal with those big banks.. ugg

The Staff/ Tellers treat You like family. Tara employee #63 usually @ drive up; goes above and out of the park hits on handling checks for issue. Deposit, telling how long before it clears. Best smiles and Thanks for doing banking @ River.
