This bank was recommended by my sister that was a long time customer. We both had a terrible experience when my sister tried to deposit a small check for $100 bucks that was issued to her teen daughter for volunteering at a Xmas event! Josh the manager was extremely rude to us! Zero interpersonal skills and seemed borderline hateful towards us! My sister has a high profile job and has direct deposit and a hefty savings. None of this was of importance to Josh! He was happy to lose two confidant planners/ investors. We both moved to a better place! Do your research before coming here!!!!

If i could give zero stars i would. i have a savings account & checking account here. I got a federal tax refund check that i wanted to deposit into my savings account. They would not take my check because the government said they would be starting to phasing out federal checks starting oct 1st 2025. Phasing out means that they would start doing away with these checks not a hard stop to these checks starting that date. My check was dated for October 10th 2025 because the IRS owed me money for a tax refund from 2020 that i never received because of some issues. The bank manager asked to take a copy of my check and that she would give me a call on monday after she tries to verify this check because it was a Saturday that i took it in. So monday comes around i get a call from the teller manager who denied my check in the first place who wasnt the manager of the bank that i talked to that said she would call me. So the teller manager said that they will not be able to deposit my check because they were not able to verify it. Its a federal check... i took my check to a different credit union opened an account and deposited it and the check cleared right away. I got my money right away. I feel like community powered credit union in bear Delaware wouldn't deposit my check based off the way that i looked and for the fact that i didnt have much money in my account at the time. I feel like they looked at me as i had a fake federal check and was trying to commit fraud. I would never refer anyone to this bank. Go to a different credit union!!!!

If I could give this a negative review I absolutely would. If you want a bank that will do jack nothing when fraud occurs don't look far you can come right here! I should have left this bank when I was told to from others. God forbid the system is down, you will have ZERO help. Stay clear.

15 years ago this was an awesome credit union, the employees knew who you were and treated you as so. Yesterday I went in for a cash withdrawal out of my account. I knew the limit changed and was higher than 2500. One of the teller managers tried to say that was still the limit. When I told I knew it changed because I took out more than that last month. She then changed up and said I have to check with manager if it is in the vault. The manager told her yes. She acted as if it was her money and did not want me to get my own money out of my account.

I've absolutely loved banking with Community Powered Federal Credit Union ever since I was a senior in high school! I'm now about to graduate college and never had any problems with this bank. They used too (not sure if they still do) even have a scholarship available to high school students that is so worth looking into! Great employees and always great service at every level!
