Sad updated post: WOW WOW WOW I just found out that they FIRED the most dedicated, professional, courteous, energetic woman, Susan! The Mandarin branch community will miss her, but First Florida DIDN’T deserve YOU. As for me I will never step foot in that obvious negative energy branch. Susan was the shining star of that branch. Upon sending an email regarding recognition of this employee and a private concern I had, I appreciated Brent calling me and agreeing that she does represent First Florida on the type of employee for there family atmosphere. At this time after almost 10 years with First Florida I would like to tell you one of the main reasons my husband and I have banked at the Mandarin Branch. Almost 6 years ago a teller name Susan made my husband and I feel like family. We know when we come in we are going to greeted with the most infectious and genuine employee at this location. It is so apparent that Susan loves her job and customers. I love when I am in the lobby being helped by her and another customer will walks in and she immediately addresses them by name and with that same enthusiasm. I am confident if First Florida were to do a survey inquiring as to Susan’s performance I can’t imagine one negative thing that would be said. She is always prompting and informing us of the newest products and rates. That has led us to using First Florida over the years for 3 car loans and all of our other banking needs. My mother was a member for over 15 years as well before her passing several years ago. Susan was so compassionate towards my mother and I in this uncharted territory we were approaching and guided us through the upcoming necessary things to do upon her passing. That meant so much to my family. It was not hard to form a personal relationship with Susan over the years which lead us to sharing our family happenings and life’s craziness. I always felt happier after interacting with her and the tone of my day was set.

My experience with Kenya was very unprofessional. She spoke to me in a condescending tone and didn’t take the time to understand my issue. Instead of helping with my current account concern, she focused on unrelated questions from last year. Her attitude lacked patience and empathy, especially during a difficult time for me. I would appreciate it if someone could please speak with her about how she communicates with customers.

Upon opening a business acct. the service we received from branch manager was very unprofessional, demeaning and discriminatory. Be warned that this service will not get me or my company to return! Very poor customer service, support or business to business aspects. Zero stars would have been a better option, but they proceeded to make wrongful assumption about my company and don’t care at all about our purpose…so like she did —->don’t bother to read the fine print because they only want your money! 💰 🛑 don’t open any accounts that will jeopardize your $$!

Today I came to this credit union 7/29/25 and yes I arrived 5 mins prior to closing. I approached a teller named Jennifer. Old white woman blonde pixie cut. From initial reaction very cold. Didn’t greet me at all. Very unprofessional. As she was making my deposits made several remarks because she made a mistake because she wasn’t observant and was rushing through the transaction. Regardless if someone comes 5 minutes or 5 hours before closing that doesn’t warrant a nasty customer service experience. Never coming back and I won’t be transferring my account either.

I am extremely disappointed with First Florida Credit Union's telephone auto loan service — it has been nothing short of atrocious. It's been five days since I started my loan application, and I still don't have a resolution. In the past, this process has always been completed the same day due to my excellent credit. If you end up with Jasmine Hill as your loan officer, do yourself a favor and run the other way. She clearly has no idea what she's doing. When I requested to speak to a supervisor, I was told they were in a meeting and could not provide their name, email, or phone number — completely unacceptable. While I’ve always had pleasant experiences inside First Florida Credit Union branches, it was explained to me that the telephone loan service and the branches use separate systems. Once an application starts over the phone, the branch can’t assist further. I highly recommend bypassing the phone service altogether and applying for auto loans in person at a branch. Save yourself the headache.
