DO NOT GET A LOAN HERE! No communication, letters that show up weeks late, hidden rules they could have put in the application forms. I made the mistake of refinancing my home through this bank. Not worth the meager difference in a lower percentage compared to other banks.

Update: EVERY single time I have conducted business at the melbourne/wickham rd branch, the staff and services have been EXCELLENT! They always go above and beyond for their members. Yesterday one of the gentlemen opened the door foe me upon entry and the sweet teller provided me an envelope for my cashiers check. Its the little acts of kindness that ate appreciated and noticed by me. I HIGHLY recommend! All sccu locations have been great. Disappointed that they let

Went in to cash two of my Series 1 Bonds and was turned away because they no longer cash them anymore. I was told that they do not do it because of Fraud and counterfeit bonds. I felt like I was being singled out because I went for the sole purpose of cashing my bonds and opening an account. I have "NEVER" had problems cashing my bonds in a bank before. I just moved back to the area 5 months prior and asked if this was a new policy to which he was vague. When I asked the guy if I could have a flyer for the business accounts he told me they do not keep them on hand and could give me a card to talk to someone in the branch. This is bad practice for a bank not to offer basic service of giving someone a flyer for your products. Not everyone wants to spend time talking to someone on the phone or looking online when you are comparing products. I decided to still open a basic checking account but had to get cash so when I went outside to the ATM, I found it was not working. I said screw it, I'll go to another bank. They too said they couldn't cash the bond but only after I said I didn't have an account with them. After all that, I went back to this bank to set up an account. The girl helping me became indifferent when talking to me after I found out I had to open a "savings" account first before opening the "checking" account. I didn't necessarily care about having to open the "savings" account too but why didn't the guy tell me that? Then when I agreed she tells me that I have to talk to someone on the phone to set it up. What?? Why did I come to the bank to only talk on the phone to a representative??? The whole point was to talk to a rep in person to answer my questions and then open an account. So we go to the phone and then she tells me that I have to have 600 credit score. My score recently went down in the last week due to a personal situation so I declined to talk on the phone for a half hour with someone to only be turned away because of my credit score. This is POOR service! It is a no wonder this place was dead in the parking lot. In all the years, I lived here before which was 36 yrs, I have never seen this bank / credit union whatever you want to call it so dead - but a no wonder it is so dead - their service is terrible.

SCCU have refused to provided evidence on Zelle transaction that were fraud for $6000. Have been treated as a delinquent instead I am the victim. I have been a member since They were EASTERN. Now the managers and supervisors yell and are rude on the phone. Have not been able to get to the escalation department it’s going on 1 year. I used to love this credit union now the service received has been the worse. Names of staff Dillion and Carolyn! Go to a different bank.
