Not sure what has happened to this once great establishment, but the customer service has gone downhill. First off, trying to call and get a hold of ANYONE is a huge waste of time. There should be an option to opt out of having to listen to the last 50 transactions you’ve made. When you finally get a hold of someone to speak to a manager, their demeanor quickly changes and act like you are bothering them. I asked a manager for their direct number and they stated that they didn’t have one. How is that possible? They have consistently passed me off to someone else or lied about an issue that I have had to deal with because of their incompetence. There are only a couple of people that I can say that are keeping this place afloat. I am seriously considering closing all of my accounts and go elsewhere with better customer service. CCU what happened!?

I attempted to open an account online with Community Credit Union of Florida. The application was ultimately not approved, which is completely fine. However, what is not fine is that they still withdrew my opening deposit several days after and kept it for several weeks without returning it. When I called today to check on the status of my refund, the representative was unable to find any record of my application or my information at all, despite this happening only a few weeks ago. There was no explanation for where my money went or why my application had seemingly vanished from their system. At this point, I was forced to contact my bank and open a formal dispute just to get my funds back. That’s unacceptable. How can anyone feel comfortable trusting this institution with their money when they can’t even locate an application or track funds they’ve already withdrawn? This experience raised serious concerns about their internal systems and accountability.

Honestly any credit union is better and I have been with these folks since college. I sincerely can't believe how outdated we are. FDIC insured but opened at 10 am on a Wednesday?

I've been with CCU for a long time now, they are the best in Titusville. They have helped me meet my financial goals, even in my most challenging times, I am so happy with their professionalism, customer service, and community presence.

This has been, without question, the best banking experience we’ve had in years. Moving to Florida was a dream come true, but navigating the logistics—finding housing, securing auto insurance, figuring out where to shop, and most importantly, identifying who we could trust and who aligned with our values in banking—was one of the hardest parts for us. Back in Washington State, our credit union wasn’t large, but it wasn’t tiny either. What made it special was the small-town feel: every time we called, drove through, or walked in, we were greeted with a smile and a warm hello. Even in Spokane, a city of over 230,000 people, we never felt like just a number. That personal touch meant everything. When we arrived here, we did our homework—reading reviews, combing through every tab on every credit union’s website in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area. CCU stood out as a potential fit, but we were still unsure. That changed the moment we walked up to the cashier’s desk. The friendly smile, the kind communication, and the genuine “we don’t know you, but we want to help you” energy was exactly what we’d been hoping for. Then it got even better. A gentleman (whose name I regretfully can’t recall) was incredibly kind and helpful. He stepped away briefly and returned with a manager/leader (also unforgettable, though her name escapes me too—sorry!) who was so welcoming that we were sold on CCU right then and there. And then came Judy —the lovely lady who helped us open our account. She absolutely blew us away. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were talking to a friend. Judy walked us through every opportunity CCU offers, helped us set up the mobile app so we wouldn’t struggle at home, and explained everything with such clarity and warmth. Her knowledge—from checking and savings to Visa card options and CDs—was astounding. I couldn’t believe all of that came from one person. This experience was, hands down, the highlight of our move. We’re thrilled to be members of such an outstanding credit union. It takes a lot to earn our trust, but once you have it, we’re loyal to the core. CCU has earned that loyalty.
