Convinced that this bank is extremely racist. Applied for an auto loan a couple years ago. August of 2023 to be exact. Went in to open an account because you have to be a member and the woman named FIL opened the account, asked me all questions needed for the car loan application then hours later gave me a call to say that because I had never had a car loan I didn’t qualify. My credit at the time was extremely decent AND I was making over 70K. I read a few of the reviews and saw above another gentleman experienced similar behavior and he was also a person of color. I’ve filed multiple complaints and will be filing whatever else I need to file to raise awareness. Fils tone when explaining the denied car loan was extremely condescending especially when I asked questions to try to figure out how I could apply again after a waiting period. They don’t want your membership if you’re black and they don’t want to assist if you’re a person of color. Just find a new bank. I’ve followed up with complaints and to this day two years later NO ONE has reached out to apologize on behalf for THEIR employees’ behavior. DO NOT BANK HERE if you have morals!

Everyone at the Florida branch are kind and considerate! The people at ECU were able to assist me with my first auto loan (had the lowest interest rate in the area when I got it) and are attentive and personal with any questions you may need to call about.

Was interested in obtaining an auto loan so I attempted to apply via the website. Website/application said you have to be a member to apply... no problem... I filled out a membership application. I filled out the application a week ago today, and they said they would get back to be in 1-2 business days. Never heard anything back so I called them. Apparently, the lady that I needed to talk to was in a meeting. No problem. Called again a couple of hours later and was told that she just got out of the meeting and would call me back within the hour. That was 4 and a half hours ago. Don't waste your time. I don't know what kind of operation they are running where only one person can help me but they are clearly not interested in any new business.

I have been banking with ECU for a little over 5 years, and I must say, that from the very first day that I opened an account with them, I have had NOTHING but pleasant experiences. Michele, Joanne, and many of the other WONDERFUL ladies that work there are absolutely amazing to deal with. I have had several circumstances where I've needed assistance, and all of these ladies, without hesitation would go above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I am proud and honored to be a member of this community and family oriented establishment. Thanks for ALL you do!
