I wish I could give them zero stars. This is by far the worst place to handle your money. I've worked with better Credit Union's than that are far more professional when it comes to managing your finances. The constant turnover of staff makes it nearly impossible to handle business effectively, due to a lack of communication within the institution. They don't follow up, and their customer service is subpar. Recently, they've even changed CEOs, which likely reflects the ongoing issues of unprofessionalism and mishandling of funds. If you have an account this institution at 315 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA...RUN!

I first would like to say the staff is amazing. They are always polite and professional, considering that they work at the worst credit union possible. I've reactivated my account after 1 year because I wanted to have some of the benefits that they offer, I thought I was doing the right thing. After 3 weeks, I still had not received my card. My DD went in, and i was unable to do anything besides pay rent and my car note . I've called multiple times about it, and it was like pulling teeth. I finally got my card, and I was unable to use it because it was "only a savings account." I spoke with a nice employee who said they would help me, and they would email me back asap... I still haven't received an email back. Now it's someone will call you to open a checking account . I went in the branch today, and she was helpful, I could tell she was also fed up. She was able to unlock my card so I could use it, but yes, it's still not working !!!! 😕 I've decided that I'm done with you all for good! This is too much headache for it to be 2023. When yall come to the present time with how yall do business, then you will have a loyal customer. This is by far the worst experience that I've had with ANY bank!!! Btw 4 stars for the staff 1 for the business

I would never do any type of loan, savings, or checking account here. They never answer the phone and are very hard to get in touch with. My payments automatically come out for my car loan each month. One month I noticed the funds did not come out of my wells fargo account. I called and one of their employees told me it was a “glitch” and THEIR system and not to worry. Come to find out I had one whole missed payment and late payments building up that I was totally unaware of. I was not properly informed of this. None of their employees in my opinion are properly trained and have any accurate information. Every time I called, I got different information from different people. I had to physically go in there to resolve the issue. I also had to dispute the claims on my credit which went in my favor. Just not a great experience. Would not recommend!!!

If you are looking for a friendly, kind, and efficient banking experience…look no further than 1st Choice CU. The staff has been absolutely amazing and the process for my new car loan was seamless. Thank you Dina, Zikiya, and Pat! You all are amazing and I look forward to working with you for all my banking needs.

They should at least open for 4 hours on Saturdays. The online system is a joke. I tried calling to check my balance and the system does not accept my pin and account number! I have never had this much trouble accessing my money with any other institution! I'm definitely going to be looking for a different Credit Union because this is not it.
