I've been banking since 1982 and I have never seen anything like this institution. I have had a problem every time I bank with them. The people at the bank are wonderful, but the institution itself is terrible. The customer service phone line & App are terrible. It's like a big circle. Customer Service hase given me the wrong info, twice. They aren't even open on Sunday. It's the WORST app I've ever used. Every single time I've used it, it tells me my password is wrong. I've write the password down, I store it in my computer & even take a photo of it. There's NOTHING wrong with my password. I don't have problems with any of the dozen apps that I use. I'm guessing my APCU account was compromised & that's why my password doesn't work. Of course they lock your account & the customer service line is closed. As usual, I will have to wait a day or two to get some help. And then tech support will be useless. They'll just have me change my password AGAIN. And when I go to use the app later, the new password won't work.

My last visit at the APCU at South DeKalb Mall I receive service from Alicia Anderson and her customer service was excellent. She was pleasant. And she was very patient. She took her time to make sure that I left a happy customer. Thank you so very much Miss Anderson.

The worse bank I have ever dealt with. Customer service never seems to know what is going on with your account..Money comes out of your account and it is uncertain where the money is going to. You get the run around about making changes to your account and have to go through 800 customer service representatives to solve one issue. I’ve been with many banks and this one is by far the most stressful and annoying!

I joined APCU specifically to get away from the predatory practices of big banks like Wells Fargo and Capital One. I moved my savings, my auto loan, and eventually all of my finances to APCU because I believed a credit union would operate with integrity and care for its members. Instead, APCU has proven to mirror the worst practices of the very institutions I was trying to escape. Between November 4th and November 20th, 2025, APCU charged me 25 separate fees, each for $32, totaling $800 in less than three weeks. Eight. Hundred. Dollars. In fees alone. For anyone who doesn’t make six figures, that is financially devastating. To make matters worse, APCU charges you both a fee for overdrafting and a fee for declining an overdraft — effectively punishing you twice for the same situation. This is exactly the kind of predatory nonsense credit unions are supposed to protect their members from. When I reached out for help — not even to waive all the fees, just a portion to stop the spiral — I was met with stonewalling and dishonesty. I first spoke with Alexandria, who simply said that her manager said “no.” So I asked to speak to that manager. Shelby, the manager, told me they “could not” reverse anything and then closed my ticket mid-conversation as I explained the total amount of fees. No explanation. No attempt to help. Just shut the door. I reopened the ticket and requested escalation. I was told someone would call me that day. No one did. The next morning, they claimed they had called — which was provably false — and said they’d try again at 10 AM. Again, nothing. At 4:20 PM, after I confirmed that no call had been made, I finally received a call from someone who immediately lied about having tried to reach me, then cited a “policy” I cannot find anywhere on APCU’s website, and spoke down to me like the situation was somehow my fault rather than a system designed to drain money from its members. At that point, I was done. I said I would be switching banks and ended the call. APCU is supposed to be a member-focused credit union. Instead, my experience has been shocking dishonesty, predatory fee practices, and a complete lack of accountability from staff and management. If you are considering switching to APCU to escape big-bank greed, do yourself a favor — don’t.

Even though we went through Refi Jet this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had refinancing a truck and I’m 62 years old. That should tell you just how bad. Both companies are non communicators. They let you know if the deal goes through but that’s it. My truck has been auto drafted for past two months and I still don’t know how to access their portal or sign in. I’m dead serious when saying this. I would rather have continuing paying a higher monthly payment and interest rate rather than deal with either company. Get this, I get a letter asking me where the title to the truck is. How the hell do I suppose to know where it is. I don’t get it until it’s paid off. Stay away from both Refi Jet and APCU, both are incompetent
