I visited their Beretania location today to help an elderly family member and was pleasantly surprised. First, I'll start off by saying that the location is very convenient. It's in town and only a couple mins away from multiple freeway off-ramps. There is also tons of ample parking, which is super hard to come by on this stretch of Beretania. Additionally, the facilities are super clean. There aren't any stray bits of trash or even leaves/lawn trimmings in the parking lot. The lobby is nice and cool, a refreshing note in comparison to the hot pavement outside. And it's also very up to date (not dingy like some other lobbies). I've been to this location a few times before, mainly outside to help other friends or family with the ATM. I know that it was actually broken a couple of the times that we had visited, which was a bit of a bummer. But I'm happy to report that everything seems to be fixed!

I've only been with HOCU for a few months but they are always awesome! I've had my bank account hacked multiple times and at this branch they are able to create a new debit card in minutes. They are all friendly and polite, I couldn't be happier.

Friendly and super helpful staff. Each individual goes out of their way to assist you and make your experience painless and pleasant. Would recommend this credit union without any hesitation. By the way, did I mention how nice the staff are with superb customer service skills.

The worst bank I had ever had to deal with in my life. I started an account here to get a safe deposit box. That ordeal lasted an hour and a half. Later in the week, I recieved a phone call saying my access wasn't complete! They somehow forgot to get biometrics. My previous visit, consisted of me going back and forth from the sitting area to the counter to the safe deposit box, only to be told by phone days later the process was not complete. The level of sheer incompetence baffled me. I wish I could say the experiences got better but they did not. The tellers were usually new and always oblivious. There was a long time teller (the one who handled my deposit box who seemed tenured but still oblivious.) I never used my box, not once. During covid their hours were super inconvenient. I paid for the year upfront for the deposit box but cancelled everything with this incompetent bank. Response to reply from Hocu... The response further solidifies why not to bank here. You would think a bank would be more discreet with regards to someone's information like when their accounts were closed.

I've always had a great experience with HOCU!! I'm not too much of an online person and would rather go to the credit union to make sure all is good! The customer service has been super nice every time!! I have to admit, they always have the best auto loans, and that itself kept me a loyal customer.. along with the other great things. I have to mention that every now & then they offer something that people always need "shredding," thanks HOCU, paper weighs a ton when you save too much! 🙂🤙🏽🌺
