MTFCU was a total disappointment. My wife, Maui teacher for 21 years, good credit history, with over $1 million in home equity, was denied a small HELOC after giving us high hope and hard credit checks. They seem nice, but the bank probably shouldn’t advertise HELOC when they can only afford personal loans and auto loans, unless you have an 800 credit score, which why would you need a loan to begin with if everything was perfect in your life? Would’ve used a bigger bank, but we thought they might care about teachers there for some reason.

I had the absolute best experience here today, all because of Leona. Super friendly and helpful, she went above and beyond and with a smile on her face. She deserves a raise!
