I have been a long-standing client of the Chicago branch of Selfreliance Federal Credit Union and in the past years have been an "overseas" client communicating with the wonderful staff in Chicago online from Germany. For every request that I have put in, I have received - almost immediately - a positive response, and my requests have been carried out quickly, professionally, and efficiently - in a personal and friendly manner. Here I must thank Galyna Salgalova, with whom I have been communicating during the past months. She has carried out all the transactions I asked for with amazing speed, professionalism and always with a personal "hello". Pior to my communications with Galyna, I was in contact from overseas with my requests with Veronika Boychuk, Khrystyna Luchka, and Liliya Vilchyk. They all were equally professional and friendly, and they too receive my highest commendation. To all of them - my sincere "thank you"!

Very concerning experience at this credit union. My wife brought coins to exchange for cash, and after the counting process there was a $50 shortage. No one could clearly explain where the money went. On another visit I tried to withdraw cash from my debit card, and staff told me they would not give me my own money unless I first paid a credit card. That makes absolutely no sense. They also know that I am a veteran, which makes the way they treated me even more disappointing. A bank or credit union should protect customers’ money and treat people fairly. Instead, this place creates problems and leaves customers feeling like something is not right. I also request that you review the security camera footage from the branch. My wife came to exchange coins for cash and after the counting there was a $50 shortage. This is very concerning and needs to be investigated. Please check the cameras during the counting process. Situations like this make it appear that employees may be taking advantage of customers, including women and veterans. As a veteran, I take this very seriously and expect a proper investigation and explanation.

Recently worked with Oksana Beker and Khrystyna Kozak, and the experience was outstanding. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and collaboration consistently stood out. They were proactive, detail‑oriented, and kept the process moving smoothly—anticipating issues, aligning stakeholders, and delivering timely updates. Clear communication, quick turnarounds, and true partnership from start to finish. Highly recommend working with Oksana and Khrystyna.

I highly recommend the home office of Selfreliance Federal Credit Union for professional customer service and excellent communications, especially in urgent and time sensitive situations. Mrs. Lilia Demberecky deserves praise for her commitment and dedication.
