This bank is awful and I will never use them again. They duped us into an auto loan with a very enticing interest rate. However, the app is awful and not user friendly at all. I had to jump through hoops to prove I have insurance on the vehicle (never once in 25 years have I ever done this with any other bank), and moreover they demand a certain amount for my deductible. I have an 800 credit score and I can’t be trusted with my own insurance? Furthermore, there is no way to make a principal only payment. Any extra payments made outside the monthly payment are taken 100% for interest. The thievery is disgraceful. Admittedly, I’m sure all of this was in the fine print and if I’d scoured through the details properly I would never have financed with SCU in the first place. The low interest rate is not worth the nonsense to me. After only 2 months I just went ahead and refinanced with a proper bank that actually takes care of its customers. I get that a bank is a business and has to make money, but this is just not how I want to do business when such better options are available. I would much rather have one extra percent on my interest than to give this bank another penny.

Worked great under the old manager—I was working toward an auto loan with him. New management? Predatory. I noticed my deposits and payments were being held, then I'd get hit with overdrafts. Even though I had overdrafts turned off. I signed the form. I ticked the box on my account in the app. The new manager's excuse? "Policy says if there's an attempted charge to your account we have to allow it to process now." Nope, not how that works. Got curious, went in to investigate. Turns out they process deposits by hand. My banker confirmed this while we chatted—he had a big stack on his desk. I asked if they did deposits by hand. He just nodded. I received 8 overdrafts in a row. Called the new branch manager. Told her this looked exactly like what Wells Fargo got caught doing. She was dismissive, gaslit me, and blamed me. Her response: "We have a limit of five reversals for a year, anymore and I will have to legally refuse to do so." Another issue: I purchase music files from a British website—legitimate FLAC files, trying to get away from streaming services. They'd flag my account for fraud and lock it. I went in, showed them the website was completely legitimate. The banker had to get permission from management. After that, I had to call them every time I wanted to buy music. I demanded my account be closed and pulled all my business. Paid the final balance. Done, right? Wrong. I was locked out of my account shortly after. Tried to log in online, reset the password—nothing worked. Apparently they didn't actually close the account. It overdrafted again for $65 and was sent to collections—with no notice. The only reason I found out? I pulled my credit report. A $65 collection from an account I explicitly closed is now sitting on my credit report. This isn't incompetence. This is a pattern. What makes it worse? I have adrenal insufficiency. Stress isn't just frustrating for me—it's medically harmful. Their practices directly impacted my health.

Absolutely terrible, Have an auto loan through them. I was insured through Geico and had cancelled and requoted the same day and reinstated through Geico so it dropped my rate, unknowingly SCU needed to be added to the policy as the lienholder, I was in the process of looking for new insurance but didn't have time to switch when all that transpired...fast forward 6 months and I switched insurance. They then told me since they were not listed as the lienholder on my Geico policy they had been tacking on a $125 penalty. I proved to them that I had full coverage for the months they claimed I was not in compliance with my vin # and everything. However, they would not wave the fee since they were not listed and Geico refused to add them since I had already cancelled my policy with Geico. So, I proved everything they asked for but they still feel entitled to this $700 since they weren't listed as a lienholder. Complete bullshit in my opinion especially with a customer who has had a few loans through them and has never been late on a payment once.

In my personal opinion, their not professional, and they try to intimidate you, bullying you, with a take it or leave it attitude, all while not allowing you to speak to the Bank President, i need his input/assistance.?? what is the Bank President's name and direct phone number. (also) How can I file a Discrimination report, with the Federal Reserve or any other Government Oversight dept.
