Purdue Federal Credit Union has officially earned a spot on my personal “Humans Who Saved Me From Myself” list. Jeff Harrison, Colleen Shepherd, and Barb Kwiatkowski all went above and beyond helping me sort out a financial mess that, let’s be honest, I absolutely created myself. They never judged, never rushed me, and somehow managed to make the entire process feel like teamwork instead of triage. If you need a bank that treats you like a person instead of a spreadsheet, this is the place. Five stars without hesitation.

PFED retired their budgeting tool - Fresh Look. Same Experience - NOT - Email said it would be but after contacting customer service; tool was retired. It is sad that a majority of other Credit Unions and Banks (PFEDs competitors) offer a similar tool for free and PFED decided to retire it; especially as a bank that obtains a majority of new members as college students where budgeting is one of the highest priorities. Even IU Credit Union has a budgeting tool :

Chace Pedigo and team Purdue Federal Credit Union at the West Lafayette branch helped me after a hiccup with the application process. Finding a local credit union to bank with was really important to me. The team found a simple fix and helped me get set up the next day. Patient. Positive. Professional. Thanks for the persistent pursuit to solve challenges...Yes I'm corny! CJ

I recently took out a loan at PEFCU. Clarissa Cobb was who helped me . She explained all my options and kept me updated throughtout the process. A very professional person who represents PEFCU with pride and a friendly attitude. I would recommend her to my friends and family. A great experience!!!!

I have always had good experiences with PFCU but today I am so thankful for how helpful and kind they are. I went to the branch to have a new credit card printed and on my way hit something that gave me a flat tire. In tears, in the lobby with a cranky two-year old, someone came over to check on me and see if they could help. They asked around until they found Ben and Anthony who came out to help change my tire and put on the spare. I am forever grateful as it saved hours of me sitting around waiting for a tow and I was able to get home sooner rather than later. Their customer service is always so helpful but today especially so!
