I just got a debit hard for the first time. After having it only about 2 months it was hacked from California and boston and MO, and NH all in 1 day. I thought banks monitored transactions and whatever seems unusual from your normal usage they questioned it or at least 3 rivers fed credit union does. There fraud team sends out an alert and asks did you make this purchase especially when they are made in different states same day using my debt card. However they didn't and they stole over $950. They lady at the bank told me they would only give me a complimentary $500 until after the investigation they refused to give me another debt card until after the investigation because I have my son and daughter-in-law as my POA and said there had been"alot of new changes to my account recently " basically my son and daughter-n-law could have used it and basically said they needed to "make sure those charges were fraudulent because I have people who can access my account" So I can't have a debit card to my own money and my own account?? Until she thinks it's ok? What give her the right to take my rights away?
