Been banking with FFCU for over a decade no issues with them. They’ve handled 3 fraud cases for me quickly and professionally. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming.

Stay away from this credit union. I recently opened an account up a couple of months ago with this credit union and wrote a check for a bill. I looked at my account and they had deducted more than the amount that the check was written for so I called this credit union. The lady from First federal credit union told me that it is up to the bank that cashed it, entered it in incorrectly and I needed to get in touch with that bank so I did. The bank that cash the check admitted to the error that they must have entered it in incorrectly but they cannot do anything about it for privacy reasons from the person’s account that cashed it and they told me that first federal credit union should be handling this. The bank that cash the check said typically what they do in this situation is take it as a loss from their end if I were to be banking with them. I contacted first Federal credit Union today and explained it to the lady and she said it sounds like this other bank is trying to put the problem off on us when it was an error on their part. I explained that I have physical evidence I wrote the check for a certain amount but more was deducted from my account and I should not have to handle this they should. She then proceeded to tell me that this bank is not my employee, I was never rude to the lady I just expected it to get fixed. I advised her that yes if I’m banking with you guys you are technically working for me. I stated She is correct they’re not my employee but they are working for me, and she kept stating no. She repeatedly told me no it’s my responsibility to look over my account, (Which keep in mind I did and that’s why I was calling) that is not their issue so basically I just need to take it as a loss. I then stated that I think I’m gonna go back to my old bank and quit banking with first Federal credit Union and she said that that is a great idea she agrees. I asked her if these calls are recorded and she said no and hung up on me after I said let’s get a recap of this call. I have since tried to call and Cannot get the bank to answer. This was the worst customer service experience that I have ever encountered in my life and I feel like if I have a bank or credit union yes they are working for me. I am obviously not a banker so I expect my bank/credit union to do the job for me and me to be able to call them and tell her there was an error on my account and they should be able to fix it. Basically I could’ve written a check for $100 and they would’ve cashed it out of my account for $300 stay away Also keep a close eye on your accounts, I had someone else along with me that heard because my phone was on speaker and he could not believe the way the lady was talking to me so he also will be canceling his account.

Best rates, easy to work with but you might have stay on top of them just a little bit. I recommend them to everyone.
