I spent over two hours on hold attempting to resolve a simple matter. Neither the national customer service line nor the local branch answered the phone, and customers are required to call in order to pay off a note—yet no one is available to assist. This level of inaccessibility and disregard for customers’ time is unacceptable. After this experience, I can confidently say we will not be returning. The service was deeply disappointing, and the overall management and responsiveness of this branch reflect poorly on the organization as a whole.

I’ve been banking with GECU for nearly 10 years and currently have both a car loan and a personal loan through them. My uncle and grandfather both worked for and retired from GE, so there’s a long-standing family connection as well. I recently moved back to Ohio from Tallahassee and needed to use mobile deposit for my paycheck. I submitted the deposit on Friday, and the funds won’t be available until Wednesday. While I understand that Presidents Day may have caused a delay, the extended hold has been frustrating—especially with bills continuing to process and pushing my account into the negative despite having a pending deposit. Unfortunately, I was told there’s nothing they can do—no partial release of funds and no consideration for refunding NSF fees during the hold period. After nearly a decade as a customer, this experience has been disappointing. In comparison, Capital City Bank in Tallahassee consistently provided excellent customer service and flexibility when it mattered. Based on my experience, I’ll be exploring other banking options in the Columbus area and looking into refinancing my loans elsewhere when possible.

My husband and I have been banking with GE Credit Union for 38 years, and when the Mason location opened up, we switched to that location as it was closer to our home. Recently, I became more involved in our banking and have had the pleasure of working with the phenomenal staff at the Mason branch, including but not limited to Robb, the branch manager, James, Matt, Rob, and others who have answered my many questions, offered their expert advice, and serviced all of our banking needs. It's truly been gratifying to work with familiar faces who you trust to properly manage your assets and I greatly appreciate their assistance and expertise! Thank you!

GE credit union continues to withdraw payments from my bank account for a loan that is paid off for months now! Auto payment was cancelled and they still keep doing it! Their back-end banking system is a joke. Don’t trust your money.

Great local credit union! Super close to home, which makes it really convenient. The staff here are always accommodating and helpful with any questions I have, whether it’s about loans, savings, or just day-to-day banking. Clean, professional, and welcoming environment. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area looking for a trustworthy financial institution.
