My card info got stolen so I went directly into the bank because I’ve had bad experiences with customer service over the phone(ie getting put on hold for hours and being redirected to multiple people/departments). My card had gotten two large charges to the point where my checking was in the negative. The teller put in a dispute and said it may take up to 60 days to get my money back. The charge was to a place I’d never made purchases to before. It took over a week for the bank to just put the funds back into my account, all while I was getting overdraft fees from automatic payments from bills. I didn’t have the time or means to change the payment method for all my bills that were due. I went in multiple times and told the tellers this over a couple of weeks and they kept saying I’ll just have to wait. It took over 3 months with me going into the bank in person and telling them I still haven’t gotten refunded my several overdraft fees. Nobody acted like they knew how to help me. One teller would give me a business card and tell me to just call this person. Another time someone else said they’d look into it and would contact me with an update, which never happened, even after leaving multiple voicemails. I finally got in contact with someone named Tina in the dispute department and tell them all of this. Their response was, “Why didn’t you contact us as soon as you started getting overdraft fees?” To which I responded I tried by going in multiple times and the tellers would not offer any solutions. They responded with “Well you should have been more proactive when this initially happened.” Honestly a really unprofessional thing to say to a customer that’s been physically going into the bank several times under the impression that tellers knew how to do their jobs. This experience really showed this location’s incompetency. I’ve been looking into joining other credit unions since this happened and I’m definitely changing banks if something like this happens again. I felt very disrespected and gaslit from trying to just get my money back from being stolen.

Christopher Joseph — this review is long overdue! About seven months ago, my husband, my son, and I set up an appointment to get approved for a car loan. This was our son’s very first car — his first big responsibility — and we honestly weren’t sure how things would go. Christopher told us about a special program that had been around for a while, though it wasn’t used often and the requirements weren’t very up to date. We decided to take a chance and give it a try. Our son got approved, and we were able to find a car that met all of Mainstreet’s requirements. It turned out to be one of the best days for our family! The process took some time, but Christopher was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly every step of the way. By the end of the day, our son was driving home in his very first car — in great condition, too! We’re so thankful to Christopher and happy to be part of the Mainstreet family. Thank you for making this milestone such a positive experience for us!

Customer service is going downhill BADLY at this branch. I have been on hold for more than an hour without even being able to talk to a person. They must be just not answering their phones at all. Lines in the drive through and inside the branch have also been terrible over the past few years. Seems like there is poor management overall at this location. Ready to move to another bank.
