I have banked at banks before I switched to Members Heritage Credit Unit. I had been told by my friends that banking with a Credit unit was much better than just a bank, so, I switched 20 years ago. I have been extremely happy I did and that the one I went to is Members Heritage. Thank you all at Members Heritage for being such a great place to do my banking and the loans over the years. I give Members Heritage a 10+ in every category. .

Overall: Reliable service and banking. I have been with Members the whole time and I feel it has provided me with a good overall service. I don't do too many complicated things in general, I actually don't even have the app, signing in and out is easy enough for me. I have not dealt with many issues with my account being hacked or things like that, and one time that I can recall, they notified me immediately. I had my first car loan through Members, which I paid off several years ago now. I had a great rate and no issues with that that I can recall. My credit card rate has stayed excellent, and I hardly get charged a monthly fee because it's easier to keep up with paying down enough and early enough to avoid the fee- so much so that I really don't trust using any of my other credit cards because they are usually charge a monthly fee regardless. It's a great credit union for keeping things simple. There is one friendly clerk that is very security gone-whole crazy. It bothered me at first, but I am used to him now, and I just really kind of avoid him or come back another time. He's just really really doing his job super duper seriously 😅. Like really. Several years ago, I dealt with an isolated situation with waiting in line inside the Pimlico Branch, it made me upset at the time, but it really was a small thing. They have done some recent updates there, so hopefully it's easier now to tell what's going on with their line now. More free ATMs would be great.

This member ship buy you a quick friendly face who help your financial need and makes you feel like you have a friend to guide you through you through your process. I have left other credit unions do to there inability to adequately manage my funds and or make profits. Here you get alll of the above and the next step too.

Four years ago I submitted a review stating," I want to share that I have been with MHFCU for more than 20 years. My issue is how they find ways to take your money with hidden fees. For example, there's a transfer fee." Well let me fast forward to today, last November their system was updated which created several issues for me financially. For instance, my card info has been compromised multiple times before and after the update. Even my credit card and it took months to receive a new one. Now since the update the app is terrible, my life insurance policy has been canceled and I can't submit any more checks to the local utility company due to the holds the bank applies even though the money is in the account. However returns the check, charges the return check fee, and states that the money is not available when the money is there... Today I wanted to cash a large amount check and the teller explains that I cannot cash it but that I have to deposit the check and wait two days for the check to deposit and I will ONLY have $225 that will be available today. An inconvenience is an understatement.

Readers, please hear this story. I am leaving another bank. This bank BEGGED me to be a member for almost eight years. Recently my business partner who is female secured a car loan here through Green's Toyota. As you can imagine I was excited to leave the other bank and bring all my business over. Recently my car was destroyed and I have a Geico settlement. I have a car selected. Top of the line for its year and in great shape plus I am buying the extended warranty. This bank not only offered less than half the funding she secured though we are paid the same and my credit is higher, but then this bank sent me a letter making false claims about my credit though it acknowledges my credit is over 760. Opening the account was easy and Janet was efficient if a little impersonal. However I have felt discriminated against and definitely have been wronged and I HAVE NOT EVEN MOVED MY MONEY AND BUSINESS ACCOUNTS. Looking at the reviews I now see this bank is run potentially more disastrously than the first. I will be offering them professional services but I cannot recommend this bank at this time. I warned them that fair and equitable treatment and no discrimination against me (I have a Hispanic name) was a point of blank must for getting ALL of my business. This was ignored and furthermore slanderous lies said as justification. I am considering involving an attorney at this time of writing. Steer clear... There are plenty of other banks. Stay away from UKFCU as well. But sadly to say this is not the bank to switch to. Very very disappointed. I have never been denied a freaking car loan or asked for a 50% deposit. I always pay EVERYTHING and have a CR 750 to 780. I can only think this was pure discrimination either for my name or because I am male. Nothing else makes sense. Good day to you.
