Their service isn’t bad. It’s actually pretty reliable if you live in an area with buried utilities, and the linemen are top notch and will get you reconnected in a hurry if the power goes out. No issues there. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Email replies to common questions read like a corporate handbook. Employees, if you can reach one, treat customers like they’ve interrupted something more often than not. If your power does go out, there is no human POC to report it, just an automated system that’s about as helpful as a pet rock. I would call for deregulation if not for our rates. However, I have to give props to the state. They’ve blocked a number of LG&Es proposed rate increases in the last several years.

Literally the worst electric company ever. Especially if you have above ground power lines and your power goes out. Have fun waiting 24 hours or more for them to turn it back on. This is the 3rd time in one year my family has had to go without power for multiple days. Customer service can give no estimated time of repair. We are fed up with LG&E.

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service has no explanation of your bill other than what the company decides to put on it and says there’s nothing they can do or explain other than they GUESSED our bill and charged us. I was paying at my apt which is not much bigger than house home now $115 a month for BOTH GAS AND ELECTRIC. Fast forward our house which is still very small $150 a month for JUST GAS. Glad I don’t give you all our money for Electric Salt River is WAY cheaper $50 a month. December 2022 we were told our gas bill was estimated.. how is it not illegal to do that to someone and jack up the price for something like gas, a necessity over triple the amount. How can you legally estimate someone’s bill and charge them for what you think they used just because no one wanted to go out in the cold and actually check meters like we pay our bills for workers to do. I smell lawsuits. Furthermore we never moved our thermostat from 70 the entire time we had below 0 degrees temps the entire month of December. $156 for JUST GAS. If we could get electric and gas with Salt River we would. I hope you enjoy scamming others. I could never sleep at night knowing I am beyond greedy and take advantage of others. Sad.

You guys probably only get negative reviews. So, I wanted to make sure you knew how pleased I was with a recent service issue. Today, Feb 19 at approx 5:00pm, we heard a large explosion and electricity to my home went out. As a work-from-home employee, that's critical to continuing my job efforts. After reporting the outage thru our cell phone, we learned that the outage was limited to just our home. However, just before 6:30pm, our electric services were fully restored. Fantastic response time.. which warrants a public statement and 5 stars. Thanks for all you do.

I just moved into this house about a month or two ago and I just received a bill for $492 and some change. I’ve been trying to call Lg & E for a week now and of course no answer. I called today and of course, they’re closed for the observance of the holiday, which technically isn’t a real holiday. I am a single mother I’ll pay 1300 and rent on top of 300 in water. what makes you think I can afford $492 worth of electric that I haven’t even had the enjoyment enjoying !? My bill says $220 in OTHER CHARGES 🙄
