The customer service here is terrible. I don't believe everyone is trained with the same information because if they were the answers to my questions would all be the same. This is not a really big credit Union they have very few places that you can physically go and get assistance. It's the blame game you'll spend hours on the phone trying to get assistance only to be transferred from department to department. I finally asked to speak with a supervisor because the reps are unable to really assist you. The sups are not much help either which is really a reflection of why the CSRs are horrible. There is one supervisor in particular Ezra told me that he was going to help me and he would give me a call back. Nothing else happened. That's a lack of integrity. So of course that led to another phone call. This review is really in regards to how outdated this credit Union really is. The functionality of their apps are in the stone age. I don't believe they have actual developers that are in touch with more up to date technology. I don't believe anyone is really checking the functionality of their apps. I've been trying to get in contact with tech support yet no one will even call me back. Andrew! So I'm going to assume there's no real tech support. I transferred from a phone with the operating system Android 12 to a newer phone with an operating system of Android 15 and the card manager app has failed to work on the new phone. The app still works on the old phone, but it will not open on the new phone. If there's any real tech support at this business I would love to be contacted.

The most unprofessional GROUP of employees I’ve ever had to deal with in all my 27 years. Diane was the rudest of all. First off I financed a car through them 4 years ago, I’ve always had a 100% payment history the last 10 years until I financed through this lender. They make it very difficult to make payments, always some ridiculous hoops I would have to jump through, my license wasn’t right bc my address was old, they didn’t want my money…so my husband was able to go make payments until that became a problem as well. Then we went on vacation and came back and tried to pay our car note only a few days late, and we were told we could NO LONGER pay it in person and had to get on the phone. Well if you read these other reviews you will see how difficult of a process a phone cal is with this Union. If you get a person on the phone 9/10 they are rude as can be. So 3 months later still haven’t paid the car note and the car gets towed, no surprise. When I called to find out what tow company took the car because my children’s car seats were in the vehicle and live saving medication, they refused to tell me what tow company had my car! I had to find it on my own research! After being in the phone with these rude ladies for hours on hold, they could not have cared less about helping me find my car seats. They would ridicule me over the phone and say things in a disrespectful tone like “well how did the loan get behind in the first place?” And I would explain exactly why to them, because of their poor employee service because I have tried to pay it several times, and they would have nothing to say about that. When I finally found my car at a repo lot on my own without their help I drove to it to get my childrens car seats out, I asked the tow company if the lender is supposed to know any information about where my car would be and they told me absolutely they should have been able to tell me. La Capitol is a JOKE. So I called La capital back to let them know I found my car on my own using my own willpower and got my car seats out my car no thanks to them. They then said “they weren’t supposed to release your stuff to you” then put me on hold and CALLED THE REPO LOT TO FUSS AT THEM FOR LETTING ME GET MY CHILD RESTRAINTS AND MEDICATIONS. What heartless people. We have the money to pay the car off completely, these people DO NOT WANT our money. I believe they just want to repo to resell and make twice the profit.

I've been a member for nearly a decade and now I'm looking for a new financial institution. La Cap used to offer great customer service, issues could easily be resolved over the phone. Now it's not uncommon to spend 30+ minutes on hold, only to then have to spend 10-15 minutes confirming account details and then be told that you have to go to a branch to resolve the issue. Why can't I transfer funds between my accounts? It's a mystery to me and the phone rep. I have a feeling I will be transferring ALL of my account elsewhere this week.

Scammers and crooks!!!! The worst credit union I have ever dealt with I have told them every month for over a year that the phone number they have for me on file is not correct and they just say sorry nothing they can do about it. I literally have to call everyday for weeks at a time to finally get a note paid and every time I have to go through 4-5 different people and sometimes I’ll just sit on hold for 30min and it will hang up on me. They won’t let you pay online and if you mail them a check you better pray it doesn’t get lost in the postal service and hopefully they receive it because if they do not receive you will not get notified because they will call the wrong number that’s on the file and you will only know when the hit your credit! They want let me setup auto pay or even pay online I feel that these people are intentionally screwing over people to get extra fees! Don’t do business with them you will regret it
