Everything at this bank is unnecessarily difficult. The fraud prevention measures on the credit card mean that you have to run every transaction twice because the first one automatically fails and you have to call the 800 number so they can allow it to go through. I’m an adult and I feel like I’m asking my parents for permission to spend my money. Also, now the 800 number is not 24/7 so your denied purchase will have to be made the next day when you can speak to a person in south or Central America. You have to let the bank know if you travel out of the country so you wont get stuck in Canada without access to your money. Twice I have been traveling and my cards were “suspended” until I called and told them I was out of town. I’m so worried that my card won’t work when I travel that I make sure I have cash. Even traveling within the US. I worry when buying airline tickets, making hotel reservations, and buying concert tickets. And I have enough money at the bank. I had 3 accounts and always enough money to cover the charges, plus my credit score is in the Very Good range, so I’m not a credit risk. My debit card fell apart but it took weeks for a new one because their software was down. Yes, the people in the banks branches are friendly and helpful, but they can’t make up for the how difficult this bank makes it for you to work with them. Conclusion: just open an account with another bank or credit union and save yourself the hassle of dealing with First Pioneers.

I have been trying to resolve issues with my debit card being unable to use at any establishments. The card works on online orders and ATM only. The card shows disabled when trying to make a purchase. It is over a month and a half not being able to make a purchase on stores. I tried to make a purchase today after I receieved the apology online in reference to visa problems still show disabled. Now being told I would be charged $25.00 to receive another card. I didn’t create this problem so why am I being told that I would be charged when I am not the problem?

Poor customer service. I submitted an application for auto refinancing and never got answers. I would call the bank but failed to move forward with my application and wouldn’t be notified why I was not able to move on if I provided all of the information needed. I ended up refinancing quickly and efficiently at a different bank without a problem.
