Closing my account, and have banked with this institution for 14 years, and all they do is play with their customers money, deny personal loans to get a $20 application fee out of people. A credit union is supposed to be for the people....not this one, Jefferson Financial has lost its was a long time ago. I should have brought my $50,000 check to capital one and would have gotten my money much faster opening a new account with them.

Update: Jefferson Financial just reported to Equifax, Transunion and Experian that my account was charged off. Way to go Jefferson Financial you are the worst!!! My partners agree and we closed all of our accounts. I've been a member since 1996 when it was Jefferson Parish School Board Employees Credit Union. My account was closed by Jefferson Financial without my knowledge. I purposely kept a very low balance in three of my accounts there because that was my petty cash accounts for online purchases, pizza, etc... I've made over 10+ loans with them over the years and have never ever had a single late payment on any of them. My credit score is in the 800+ range. I have a six figure salary on my job and own several businesses including three with accounts at Jefferson Financial ( I'm going to meet with my partners for each of them to consider closing those accounts with Jefferson). I was disputing some erroneous charges to one of my accounts with Roku TV and Jefferson Financial knew I was disputing. Roku informed me that they could not deposit it into my account because it didn't exist anymore. Jefferson Financial charged me $75 in overdraft fees and $50 in close out fees and reported to a collection agency that I owed $104.92. This is how they valued our relationship. I just paid it off and I'm framing the receipt. I mentioned it to some of my other financial institutions including Navy Federal, Chase, Regions, Campus Federal, Liberty Bank and my fraternity's credit union and they all said thank you Jefferson Financial. With my businesses and my job customer relationships and support are the reason I'm in business. I hope you do better with your other customers.

Helpful and friendly tellers; Clean bank; a bit understaffed during COVID, but that's to be expected. No complaints.
