We have been with LMFCU for a for years. We have had excellent service from all the staff. Very friendly and professional. So much better than the big banks. Super happy.

I've had a credit card with Chase for over 10 years and I still pay a rate of almost 20% there even though I have good credit. Now I have a credit card with LMFCU that has a rate under 10% and I can transfer the balance of my Chase card over to there's! Very helpful and a great deal. Thanks Sherry!

For the most part pretty good bank for personal banking, however not very business oriented. Very little, if anything to offer from a business standpoint. I have added an extra star to my original review. This bank now does offer certain business finance options. During covid, this credit union worked hard and quickly to get set up for PPP loans so their credit union members would have access to them. So they are now working to provide more business options for their customers.

No one here returns calls. I've left a message at this credit union once a week for over a month now and no one has returned my calls and my account is still being charged ridiculous fees. If I lived in town still I'd walk in but since I live out of state I rely on their professionalism to respond too their clients. Unfortunately no one is responsible or professional enough to answer a question or show proper documentation of their ludicrous "policies". Instead of calling me back when this review was posted. They post the response below telling me to call their offices and that they don't have policies for their ridiculous fees. So what they can charge their customers whenever they want for whatever they feel like? This credit union definitely has my phone number, but instead of calling me, they post a comment making it look like they take care of their issues. LMFCU you have been in business for 50 years because you are in a market with minimal to no direct competition. Nice try though.

Be careful when applying for a loan or mortgage, even if you have over 10 years of work experience, if you recently switched jobs and have less than 2 years at your current place of employment they will not approve your loan and you'll be left with a dinged credit score, wish this was outlined in the application requirements.. I have over a decade of work experience, prior military, property in Maine paid in full, but apparently they wont approve a loan unless you have 2 years of experience in your current place of employment. Very odd.
