I have had a credit card for over a decade with this credit union. I can unequivocally say that they are the most incompetent entity that I have ever had to deal with. Literally ever. Serious incompetence over the course of many many many years. The situation is now that my Metro credit card was being charged by a website [Paramount Plus] but that website would not let me access the subscription or end the subscription. I tried calling Metro credit union and I GOT THEIR VOICEMAIL AT 10:30AM ON A BUSINESS DAY. When I call the 800 number on the card itself, I cannot get to a human. I get the repeat recording about my balance, etc. I am literally not able to talk to a human. Nor can I dispute any charges on the Metro website. I tried to shut the card off, which is an option on the website, but it kept taking charges [automatic charges] even though it wasn't supposed to. Now, I cancelled the card, on the website because I can't talk to a human. Now, it says on the website that my card was taking charges. Its literally KAFKA-ESQUE. The worst absolute worst bank or credit union or any entity that I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY. FAR, FAR AWAY. == UPDATE: You see they have responded and given me an email address to contact, not a phone number. An email address. That says it all, doesn't it?

Negative stars. The worst customer service and direct phone call service i have ever dealt with. Took me 4 days to get through to speak to someone and I'm trying to get a debit card increase and later trying to do money transfer for a closing on my house. Not a reliable on line banking nor phone service reply. Having to fly back to clo

When you call for a spending limit increase for your debit card (for your money, that you have in your bank account), They run you through a ridiculous string of questions including forcing you to tell them what you're going to spend your own money on, and then trying to offer idiotic accounting advice and treating you like a toddler. just look at their responses to every complaint in these reviews- Same form response, No care, No individualized service. And of course they only offer you an email because otherwise you're going to be trying to navigate crappy AI assistants and poorly trained employees.

Connie Wong was outstanding. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Handled the multiple items with ease; made the visit pleasant and informative. Kudos to Metro CU for having such a great employee on staff. Thank you.

Been a customer for over 10+ years and I’m closing my account today. Horrible fraud detection services, will randomly pause your account and then make you call the fraud services (3rd party) like twice. Horrible customer service.
