This credit Union used to be the best around. Not sure what happened but they play around with your account to screw with you and leave type no access to your money. They took my Zelle away and they shut down my debit card leaving me no access to money. They are doing things that are not right. Save yourself the aggravation

So surprised by this credit union. You think that they would be on our side as firefighters yet, I filled out a vehicle refinance because Ally financial has me at 11.5% for 84 months, and Boston fire credit union came back to me and said they can only do 60 months at 12.5%. Absolutely blows my mind that they are a whole percent more than a bank and won’t allow 84 month terms. I’m sticking with firefighters first credit union in California. I got 7.99% for 84 months on the same exact loan. And when I said that to the loan officer, she never messaged me back. Just withdrew the application as I requested. So much for Customer Service.

Worst customer service ever! You call and they never answer, you leave a voicemail and they don’t call back. I was in the middle of closing on a home. I spoke with KATIE, I needed to wire funds from my account to the closing attorney. KATIE said she didn’t know how to do it, places me on hold FOREVER… Then proceeds to hang up!!!! I call back multiple times, no one answers… I left a voicemail pleading with someone to call me back… NOTHING! By the grace of GOD, I was able to find a shared banking branch and get a cashiers check to close on my new home. Beyond pissed!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for banking. Go to the City of Boston credit union instead!

These people can’t keep loan documents straight. Fail to disclose a ton of information about the loan process. Takes over a week to approve an auto loan and they refuse to give an interest rate ahead of time. Basically you won’t know what the interest rate is until you’re already under contract to buy the vehicle from the dealer even though they have all your info and pulled your credit. These are unfair and deceptive consumer practices. Also, no one here seems to know what they’re doing. Asked for an interest rate numerous times. No one would even acknowledge that we asked. Just kept asking for a purchase and sale agreement.

I have been a member for 40 years. BFCU has always given me the best financial advice. Also, they helped me plan my retirement. I have been retired almost 20 yecars and they have been a tremendous asset the whole time. Thank You BFCU
