I’m very disappointed with the customer service I received. My issue was not handled properly, and communication was slow and unhelpful. I felt ignored rather than supported, which is frustrating as a customer. I expected a much higher level of professionalism. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this business.

This bank sucks. It used to be great about 10 years ago, since then it's gone downhill extremely rapidly. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone, especially "member services" which, at this point, I'm convinced doesn't exist. I had some weird activity happen on my debit card, the way I can N E V E R get a phone call back. I have tried all the locations, I have tried the "member services" line and I have even tried the "24 hour line." 24 hour line just keeps ringing ringing ringing until business hours, then from there you just wait on hold for no one to ever answer or call you back. I find this so interesting as this bank used to be so great and caring with their customer service. Now this all gets substantially more frustrating as the second they *THINK* you might not pay your credit card bill they suddenly remember your phone number, calling incessantly, leaving voicemails, sending copious letters in the mail. Funny how there is no communication when my money is suspiciously leaving my bank account but the SECOND they think there's potential they wont get THEIR money OH BOY it's communication city. It's just ridiculous I have reached out so many times for many different reasons as you do with your bank, and have NEVER received a phone call back. Also the ATM's, especially the drive up ATM's are constantly down/ not working. I have had my card eaten 3 different times in the past 5 years at the Holyoke location drive up ATM...... I know I know at this point it's my own fault. Either way this bank is BS. 0/10 would not recommend this bank UPDATE: Since leaving this review I have sat on hold still waiting to resolve an issue I called and left a message with member services about last week.

I called for some information about a car and I spoke with Sharon Carter From the Holyoke Credit union Branch and off rip she gave me attitude and gave me a hard time with my questions so I don’t recommend this Credit union At ALL!!!! She definitely needs some customer service Training…..The way she speaks to customers is not professional and not acceptable

I was facing significant financial difficulties and sought assistance. Upon visiting Holyoke Credit Union, I consulted with Brian Risler and Anabela Blake, who thoroughly reviewed my options. As a result, my financial situation has substantially improved. It's essential to recognize the value of supporting local credit unions, as they can provide pivotal aid. In my case, they were instrumental in my recovery. I extend sincere gratitude and appreciation for their exceptional service.

We have been banking with the credit union for almost ten years. I have been satisfied with their customer service, hours and willingness to work with their members. We hit a rough patch and worked closely with Alan and communicated frequently and were able to work through the issue. I know sometimes it is hard to work on the banking end and listening to people that make promises to pay and then they don't. In my experiences with HCU, if you just communicate and be open and honest they truly try to work with you. Much better than a big national bank I worked for in College!
