I just went inside and I explained that I was having problems with my account before I went on the phone. While I was on the phone, a representative came on and started talking to me about somebody else’s account. That’s against the law; that person shouldn't be talking to me about somebody else’s account. I told her to stop and confirm who she’s talking to cause that’ definitely ' was not my name. So I told her to stop. Then I went into the DCU Marlborough branch and I explained to them what was happening by the way on the phone. She said that I didn’t have an Account although I’ve been with them for 21 Years I spoke to Julianne she was understanding it was ready to do something about it, but until she called her supervisor named Maria, who didn’t even listen to what I was saying I told her about the fact that somebody else was talking to me about someone else’s account her response was OK, OK? So I got kind of upset she didn’t sympathize with what was happening saw her immediate response was I’m going to call security. I’m going to get back up and then she tried to paint me as the one who was doing something wrong to her when I was simply trying to let her know that that is not a good answer with the problem that I am having it was not professional. She got on the phone and started calling the police. I asked her Why was she calling them? I was simply trying to ask what was happening with my account. Wouldn’t talk to me. She started getting very agitated at the fact that I was asking questions and I didn’t like it I just went inside and explained that I was having issues with my account. Before that, I was on the phone when a representative suddenly joined the call and started discussing someone else’s account with me. That’s actually against the law — it’s not allowed for anyone to share details about another person's account. I’ll keep you updated. Answer. DCU has many many many problems The reviews speak for themselves 2.7 you guys let that make sense think twice before you come to DCU. Now I’m headed to the police department and trying to address the situation. They always have a problem with their website apps as the banking system is really outdated. I’ll keep you posted

Little to no fees which saved thousands of $ over the years (compared to BoA). Customer service at the branch was always great. Phone support has often very long wait times. Other downsides, no international transfers unless it's a wire and DCU does not support account auto-feed into external accounting systems, which takes a lot of time to manually add all transactions. Overall pretty happy with DCU and I hope their merger will address some of the challenges.

This review concerns the online application process of the “Specialized Account” division, which demonstrates a lack of common sense. There is someone in that division with an ego and a desire for power who needs to be reprimanded. I am a DCU member and wanted to switch my business account from Citizens because Citizens funds ICE’s unconstitutional activities. The Specialized Accounts division rejected my application for two main reasons: 1) they claimed they could not verify my business address, and 2) my wife’s signature on the application did not match her driver’s license. Let’s start with the second reason—my wife’s signature. Tell me, whose signature looks the same on a pen as it does on a trackpad? No one. Common sense does not prevail at DCU. I provided my wife’s other documents, and the DCU employee could easily check the MA Secretary of State website to verify that my wife’s name appears as the corporate officer and 50% owner. Why would I forge a signature? For the business address verification, I was told something like “the agent has the same address as the business.” I have operated a brick-and-mortar S-Corp at this location since July 2011; it appears on IRS documents, the MA corporate website, and several URLs pointing to the business. You can also see the business and its signage on Google Maps. I didn’t understand why there was an issue with the address, so I decided to skip the online application and went to my local DCU branch in Acton to start over. My wife accompanied me so she could sign in front of them. The employees at DCU Acton were puzzled as to why the “Specialized Accounts” were making such a fuss about my business address. They spent over an hour on the phone trying to get an explanation but couldn't determine what the issue was. The Acton employees used all common sense measures, looked up my business on Google Maps, our website, and the MA state corporation website. They stated because we started online it went to “Corporate” and there was nothing they could do to help me get a business account. It was a baffling and incredulous waste of 90 minutes for both my wife and me. I have no choice but to write this DCU warning and let people know never to submit an online business application. Go to your local DCU where you can speak with someone face to face. I will be closing my personal account at DCU and ending my membership because of this terrible customer service experience. Bummer. I guess I’ll check out St. Mary’s CU. Shame on you, DCU — I think you’ve gotten too big for real customer service.

Customer service is non existent. I've had 4 auto loans with them and each time I've had issues with "CPI insurance". I've never heard of another bank charging this scam. Each loan I've had to argue to have it removed and this last time was the final starw. Rates are competitive but not better than Navy Fed or USAA but customer service here is much worse. I highly advise shopping other banks before you commit to a toxic loan with them.

Excellent service at the DCU branch located at 865 Donald Lynch Blvd. The waiting time was very short and the staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. They truly make you feel welcomed and well assisted. Highly recommended.
