As a new member I found their personalized service to be outstanding and their rates very competitive. I do the majority of my banking at one of their competitors, where I have been a regular member of 40+ years, but Direct Federal has really impressed me. My old CU was recently merged into a new outfit and if things do not go well with the merger I will make the switch to Direct Federal without reservation.

Worst financing company you could possibly work with. I have loans with Toyota, Citizens, First Citizens, Nissan, And many other companies. Over 250k in financing. The only disrespectful company I’ve dealt with is Direct Federal When times got tough, they made sure to call and harass unlike the rest of the financial world. The rest of the world would give solutions and ways to get back. Cory Hinton is the main person you’ll be dealing with and his manager Mark when he’s requested. Marc Parent is the last line of direct federal before the CEO, so he abuses his power and will hang the phone up mid convo when he’s incorrect. All in all, I would never work with them after this loan is done in a year or so. They told me to write a letter to the CEO, but feel that was a misdirection instead of the formal complaint I requested to file. I wouldn’t put my money or loans in this bank. Here’s some better banking suggestions: First Citizens, Citizens, Nissan, Hyundai Finance, Chase, They all gave better interest rates off back with direct federal being the HIGHEST interest rate I’ve received. I got 4-6% for all my cars except direct at 9-10%. Buyer beware

Direct Federal Credit Union has always been a helpful and friendly place. I remember for years going in with my mom, while she made transactions. Now, I have my own accounts and recently had a smooth change over the phone in minutes.

They don't return phone calls. Been 2 weeks. Called again today. 32 person in que. They finally call back 2 hours . But said a manager would call in an hour. No call but i called again in 4 hours. Finally spoke to someone who got me a manager...understood the issue after looking into it. Followed up with more info about the fraud. She ..maureen was amazing. I give her 10 stars. She was so helpful..it just took a while but im pleased with her help. Thankyou

I have been a longtime member of Direct Federal Credit Union (20 + years) and I couldn’t ask for better Customer Service and banking products - helping with great support, convenience - and addressing questions and resolving any issues in a timely manner !!
