Terrible experience dealing with loan processor Emmanuel Beattie. They essentially ran my credit and made it seem like they would help me and asked for so many documents for them to just decline it with no notification that it was being declined and no explanation from Mr. Beattie. I would not give these people your personal information as who knows what they are doing with it and the reviews here speak for themselves! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CREDIT UNION

I rarely write negative reviews but I guess I should have looked more closely at what others have shared. I received a call from an individual in the loan office. They indicated that they had been reaching out and leaving voicemails throughout the week. I received no voicemails. It felt as if their primary focus was getting off of the call. They indicate that because the property was in trust, Mass Bay and most other institutions would not provide a loan, and as a result they would be closing out my application. Upon further research many lenders will loan to a property in trust, they just require a fee. Not only was my experience with Mass Bay less than ideal but they also provided inaccurate information. I think folks should look elsewhere for lending.

I've had this account since my parents worked for the MBTA in the early 80s—they opened it for me when I was 5! It used to be great, but wow, the service, employees, and policies are terrible now. They don't value longtime customers at all. I gotta switch banks. Don't bank here.

Awful experience when applying for a car loan. Told me I was approved for the loan but gave 0 information regarding the details when asked. Told me I needed to open a savings account as well, but somehow wasn’t approved for that. The savings account should be a pre requisite to applying for an auto loan, not the final step. Went to a better bank and everything was handled smoothly.

Worst banking experience I’ve ever had when applying for a car loan. You will just waste your time. Possibly the most ridiculous redundant disorganized incompetent crew I could have ever imagined. Speaking to someone with authority was virtually impossible. Don't make the same mistake and go to MBCU! I went to over credit Union and all was done in one day .
