Working with Steve Tallieu at UMCU was an excellent experience. He was incredibly helpful throughout the process and made what could have been overwhelming feel manageable and clear. Steve took the time to explain our options, answer every question we had, and guide us toward a solution that supports our long term financial goals. Because of his support, we feel more organized, confident, and on track as we plan for our future, including buying our first home. His professionalism, patience, and genuine willingness to help made a huge difference. I would absolutely recommend Steve to anyone looking for knowledgeable and trustworthy financial guidance.

I didn’t know what a banking experience should be like until me and my girlfriend had the pleasure of working with Steve Tallieu. For the first time at a bank I felt like I was treated like a person rather than a number on a paper. Steve worked with us to get the best possible options for our situation. Between juggling a line going out the door and ensuring all of our questions were answered, Steve made sure we were comfortable and educated on our decisions. I would wholeheartedly recommend you visit him here or at the Dearborn location where he usually is if you’re looking for a competent, caring opinion or solution to your financial needs. 5 stars, 10/10, 100%. UMCU is lucky to have someone like Steve be a part of their organization and we feel lucky for having the opportunity to work with him and UMCU.

Three cheers for Hannah! My daughter has been saving to purchase another CD and when we arrived at the counter and she realized that my 12 year old daughter was the client, she delivered exceptional customer service no different. She commended her for her savings, provided details on interest rates and sealed it with a smile. Shout out to Angela who noticed that we were in the credit union, acknowledged and applauded my daughter for following through with her plan! A+++ on customer service! We will see you again in four months!

Paid cash formyhome I 2024. Now I can't afford to pay my property taxes and all my other bills. I've been trying to get a heloc here for 2 weeks, apparently this place doesn't have a clue. I wanna pay off my truck loan and alley credit cards about 35k. I have direct deposits and I don't like the bounced checks because they can not accept it of there's nothing in my account right? I forgot to write in 2 autopay transactions and omg like 4 checks bounced now and I dont get paid until the 3rd Wednesday of the month. My Phone got shut off too so she emails me " ,let's just do an actual mortgage not a refi. See they don't know anything. Send help!

I want to recognize Sarah K. at the UMCU Carpenter Road branch for her exceptional service and genuinely compassionate care. Sarah is truly a phenomenal person. Her patience, her thoughtful words, and her sincere effort go far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. She is the definition of outstanding customer service. When I walked into the branch, I fully intended to close my account for a host of reasons. But Sarah took the time to listen to really listen. She valued my concerns, made me feel heard, and showed a level of empathy and professionalism that made a true difference. Because of her, I decided to stay with the credit union. People like Sarah are rare. She is warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in the people she serves. Her kindness and dedication deserve to be recognized at the highest level. UMCU is incredibly fortunate to have her representing the credit union with such grace, compassion, and excellence. Please extend to her the recognition she genuinely deserves. She is, without a doubt, one of the brightest examples of what customer care should look like.
