After reading reviews about Genisys Credit Union, I noticed that some customers had issues with customer service. I was a little reluctant at first, but they had the best CD rates and decided to try anyway. I was very happy that I did. Jennifer Harmon was so helpful. My experience with her couldn’t have been better, every time I had a question she would answer it and on a couple of occasions she called me right back when I had an issue or concern. After being in retail for over 50 years, I can honestly say it was so nice to deal with her and if I ever have a question again, I kept her extension and her name handy so I could speak directly to her. Excellent customer service, and such a positive experience. Thank you, Jennifer!

Jennifer Harmon provided me with excellent customer service on 1/26/2026. She went above and beyond when I asked her to help me deactivate a debit card. She thoroughly explained the transaction process with respect to recurring transactions. Her professionalism, patience, and compassion were greatly appreciated! Thank you, Jennifer! ❤️👍🎉

The customer service is good, but the ATM is always out of service. Update of 10/27/25 since last post. Out of service again today. An ATM is a convenient way to pull money when the credit union is closed or it's an emergency. Genisys get it together. 1/1/26 atm won't allow you to withdraw money All options are available but withdraw. Utterly ridiculous. Had to drive to the location on Woodward in Pontiac. Their ATM was working perfectly fine.

Really great service! Very friendly and professional. Madison guided us through a new phase in our lives. And Oscar is a great teller! Very professional, and a jovial person! Thank you for being our credit union!

This branch displayed really odd practices, that are quite obviously racial profiling. I hope this isn't a company-wide problem and is an isolated problem with one employee in particular. That said, there's no industry standard for a US citizen to need to undergo a credit check or provide extensive identification to open a simple checking account. If you're not white, I would avoid this location - if not also this company as a whole. In general, my advice is to proceed with caution and do not consent to any unnecessary credit checks.
