Since I can't seem to contact anyone by phone . How do I find out how much my auto loan balance is ? I can't find a link anywhere. The loan information option is grayed out ?

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. After initiating my first payment for my auto loan, I received a payment receipt on the day it was due. It was reflected in my lake trust account. Then I got an email saying my payment was rejected (after the payment receipt was sent). I called to reconcile the issue, for the employee to tell me that my payment was indeed received and everything was fine. Then I get a letter in the mail saying my payment was never received. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be refinancing with another institution. Do not go here. It hasn't even been one month and I've had nothing but trouble. (I normally would never leave a negative review, but for this to potentially impact my credit score was fuel enough for me to make a post.) 0/10

Terrible company!!!! Never bank with LAKE TRUST! These guys sued me for 1350. After closing my account on me and never calling me or telling me I had owed them. I even went into the branch and they said my account was closed and I didn’t owe anything. 2 years later I get paperwork in the mail stating I owe lake trust money. When THESE GUYS CLOSED MY DAMN ACCOUNT! never ever ever bank with this credit union!

There are good people that work at good credit unions. This is not a knock on the industry. Lake Trust is not one of them. 300k in satisfied auto loans with these people. Fell on hard times so I called to make arrangements. No help at all, not an ounce. They do not care about you at all, not even a little. Lansing area federal credit union was soooo much easier and they actually helped. Mind you the current loan I have with them is the only I’ve ever had. I’ve had 4 trade lines with Lake Trust, all satisfied, interest paid and closed out. they treat you like garbage. Absolutely terrible. Do not get a loan here, do it let a dealership finance your car here, just stay away. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I tried calling because I had questions but the automated answering system was very difficult to navigate. Don't bother calling if you don't aways have an account with them. It's so difficult to get past them asking you to enter your account number kinda hard to do that when youre trying to open the account! Then you have to wait 15+ minutes to talk to someone once you navigate the automated answering system. Would not recommend.
